I still get sick of IPAs sometimes, like if it's all I had in my fridge the last week or if I drank a sixer at a buddy's place the night before. For me it usually takes a couple days before I go into "hop withdrawal" and start craving em again. Don't worry OP, I'm sure you'll be hooked again in no time.

Yes! Lagers and flavorful low-abv beers are the best. Pilsners, Helles lagers, gose, Berliner weisse, and witbiers are my preferred low-abv styles. Good witbiers are super underrated. Two of my favorite beers from last year were Stone Citrusy Wit and Lagunitas Stoopid Wit.

Yup. That happens with lupulin shift. As your palate becomes increasingly desensitized to the bitterness, you're able to perceive more subtle flavors.

I have mostly lost my taste for hefevisons. Used to be one of my favorite styles but I've lost that lovin feeling for them. I'll surely try a new one if I see one I haven't have. Stuff and palettes change, who knows why???

I agree with this post greatly (although I don't agree, and can sympathize with your serious ailments). However, I'm glad you're well & happy, and your palate is getting beautifully shredded again  Cheers to good health!

All of your responsiveness is greatly appreciated. In my drunken naivety, I may have overlooked that every sensory experience has its impermanence, just as everything does. But I love hearing your individual feedback. Cheers and happiness to all of you, who balance the mundane, day-to-day, run-of-the-mill schedules like I do, and find this craft of brewing a rewarding experience. Here's to new frontiers

I actually bought a draft beer produced by my workplace today (GLBC Turntable Pils) and it was so refreshing. Great subtle hoppy Apple notes and that clean estery lager yeast. The low ABV stuff has been treating my palate nicely.

I keep forgetting Great Lakes even has a pilsner. I must try it myself!

Fortunately, it's our new year round! If you get it fresh enough, it has some great fruity hop presence. If not, it's still a very solid Czech-style pils with a nice hoppy bite.
