Agreed...except I preferred the Arizona wilderness collab over the cellarmaker collab

I don't want to hijack this thread, but does OH list anywhere what beers they currently have available in cans/bottles to go? I will be in NYC next weekend and would love to pick up as many as I can to take home. I follow them on social media so I see the newest release news but do they have other beers to go in stock? I find that part difficult to tell. I'm going to visit the brewery either way (not sure I'll be waiting in line for a hot new release), but if anyone could help it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Generally there are no other cans in stock besides the ones being released that week. There might be some bottles leftover from previous releases and will always have growlers. Just keep checking instagram for updates.

Cans normally sell out within a few days. They do releases every Saturday though, best bet is to head there Saturday afternoon and grab what ever they are releasing that day. They might still have some stouts also, but no they dont have a list of them anywhere.

Great, thanks guys, appreciate the help. I'll head there next Saturday and see what I can get. Seemed like on Instagram this weekend there was reference to having beers from the previous week left over which made me think they may have had more than 3rd anny and the collab. Maybe I was dreaming it up.

I think the quality was still sporadic in the early onset of 2016, as No Layups was also very good: April?

I guess I am in the minority in thinking that 3rd Anniversary isn't one of their best more recent efforts. Hard to describe but the flavor just doesn't feel like it's all come together yet, and I definitely taste the 10%

Since around the time No Layups and Telectroscopic were released they've been on another level.

Interesting to hear people's different reactions to 3rd. For whatever mysterious reason, it tasted a bit hotter out of the can than when I had it on tap the Thursday before release, but still a fantastic beer.

Had 3rd right after ddh ace last night, difference in regards to alcohol was minimal. I do think the flavors havnt fully melded yet, given another 5-7 days 3rd will be an easy 100/100.

I had my first 3rd Anny can Sunday, which was the fourth beer (shared) of the day, and thought it was incredible. Like many others though I usually don't enjoy the IPA's >9% as I find them just on the side of malty, and indeed this one finished with that touch of sweetness. Thing was, the dry hopping lingered from the start so long it was an enjoyable drink beginning to end. I have one other can I'll probably hold a couple weeks unless you guys find them starting to drop precipitously while I seek out a draft to have in the interim.

i think one of the coolest achievements of 3rd anniv, and like woah touched upon this as well, is that other half is showing they are capable of making large consistent batches of really good beer which is pretty impressive

also im curious to see the effect of what large batches do for ratings, do people subconsiously rate things higher if they know the batches are smaller and the beer sold out at 11:00 am? is there harsher criticism if a beer stuck around until the next day?

Exact same thoughts. Maybe it was still too green (appropriately named future OH beer: Too Green), but the can was considerably less boozy than Friday's pour.

Also @NewmansOwn mentioned the name of a new beer at the Beer Street event, Emerald Cities, but I figured it's worth sharing the description: Double IPA hopped with Motueka, Huell Melon, Mosaic & Wai-iti.

They will also be pouring Emerald Cities at EBF in Boston this weekend. Really looking forward to trying it.

Had it in the taproom a few times this weekend. Really delicious stuff. Super fruity. It definitely has a Mylar Bags vibe to it.

Yes, very similar to Mylar. I was being a snob the other night and ranting to someone that if you drank Broccoli, Mylar and Socks blindfolded it would be very difficult to tell them apart.

I was thinking the same thing, especially with Broccoli and Socks.
