Long walk with dogs done this breezy cool morning. It's supposed to be sunny and low sixties all week, so I'll start with some local sunshine in my cup:

Guten Morgen! I bought a beer making kit. This one to be exact!

    https://www.morebeer.com/products/deluxe-fermonster-homebrew-starter-kit.html

AND after all the consternation over where to brew and ferment in this apartment, the light bulb finally went on. In the closet. It's rather large, keeps a consistent temperature, and all I had to do was move everything out of it. I threw out 20 years worth of cords, phones, ethernet cables, telephone wires, chargers of all shapes and sizes, old yoga mats, modems and mismatched silver. I now have a brew room that can accommodate a 5 gallon batch, plus store all the stuff and if it blows- it's in a closet and can only harm the hallway where there is no furniture.

    Cheers!

Welcome to the wonderful world of home brewing! Your closet sounds like the ideal place to start - good luck!

Trying to avoid NEIPAs. Time for a change! Actually had trouble finding something at the beer store. I asked for a bitter, earthy, herbal, piney IPA and there were only two "sort of" suggestions.

    Crazy.

Maria, you seem like a patient person who focuses on the little details and enjoys the process of "from start to finish." I believe you are going to make for a wonderful home brewer, and you couldn't have picked a better spot. Cheers, and enjoy the most fun and rewarding (well...most of the time:wink:) hobby there is.

Thank you both and if I could have a wish it's that everyone on BA could have a bottle of my first batch even if it's horrible :grinning: I am very excited actually.

A pale ale is a good starter brew and your kit looks good. Good stuff and lots of fun to come!

    Hellllloooo Ba's!
I can't believe the sun poked through the clouds today. I was almost tempted to look up pictures of the sun on google. I'm enjoying the change of scenery with a dirty bastard scotch style ale compliments of Founders Brewery. It's my sunshine in a can.

    Cheers![IMG]

I can send you plenty of hopped up/piney IPAs, if you send all those unwanted NEIPAs to me!:wink::wink::wink:
