I think they are referring to the 12/20 batch that showed up last week.

Enough with the cans, when do those sweet sweet Decorah bombers of Sue start showing up?

And to think that some folks doubted we in the Great Lakes forum would be able to complain about the cans as much as the Midwest forum!!!

Okay good, it wasn't just me. I've had 4 cans of the 12/20 batch, and they all taste like varying degrees of crap (they hops have fallen off, I assume). I emailed TG to see if they had any thoughts/ideas as to why this could be, but have heard nothing back. I know they're made in FL, but I was hoping for some insight as to why these were so bad.
The sad thing is that I really like the cans, usually. But the 12/20 batch is awful as far as I'm concerned. The fact that I'm not the only one complaining only makes me more certain of that.

    So yeah, onto the bombers...

Good, I was hoping Binnys would be getting the newer cans with the bigger drop this week.

Waiting for bombers in Chicago. Nephew goes to school in Iowa so have had my share of regular sue cans.

You'll have all the 1492, Lightspeed, and Pompeii you could want. The rest of it you'll have to jockey for until the hype dies down in a decade or so.

Hey, it's Chicago; we're used to jockeying for almost every craft beer that isn't 312.

1/5 Batch tastes good to me. I didnt have the December one but the January tastes like how I remember PS.

I cracked another 12/20 batch and while it was not nearly as good as I remember my last can of Sue being, I didn't think it was awful and certainly wouldn't call it swill. It was still better than plenty of other APAs I've had.

^ as am I. I also enjoyed Lightspeed the one time I had it. Looking forward to seeing those in stores.

Weirdly, I've had the same experience (although I'd call it closer to swill based on my expectations from PS cans). Maybe my mouth has adjusted to the nasty hops, or maybe some of the cans were worse than others. None of the 12/20 cans I've had have been actively good for PS, but the last one I had was certainly a decent beer.

FWIW I had a single can of PS in a 4 pack taste horribly off early last year. It was just one can. I dunno.
