Other Half Brewing February 2017

if it was just hop showers and double mosaic I would have sat out and been sad. But with those stouts I think I need to make an appearance and hope that 3rd anny is on tap so I can try it too. Those stouts sound good and the red wine IAL was one of my favs from OH. hope its not too cold Sat

Is Nummy Nug Nug on at the taproom?

I checked Untappd but was curious if anyone knew when/if it's getting put on.

 

Nummy Nug Nug may be the 1st OH beer I want to try for the name alone.

 

None was kegged. A new batch is coming very soon.

 

I was planning my first trip to Other Half on Saturday from the New Haven area. I was curious if you guys could steer me in the right direction. I'm typically used to the way Tree House does things…having 2 or 3 styles available in cans at most, with strict limits.

- How many canned beers are typically available at any one time? Are there typically can limits PP?
- Do they typically run out of their can allotments? What is a safe time to arrive?
- Can there be long wait and lines to get beer?

 

Number of cans alternate each week. One Saturday 2 cans next Saturday 4 cans, this Saturday being a 2 can week. Limits are 1 case of each beer and they normally sell out at some point that day though cans are known to last into Sunday once in a while. To be 100% safe I say arrive by 10am.

No, I think you should still be OK at that time. Cans one the two can release days have been lasting a while. Hop Showers should definitely still be there.

 

While 2nd Anniv gets the nod because it had a little more dankness, 3rd is really really good and reminds me of the DDH Trillium beers.

 

My god the Third Anniversary is tasting ridiculous right now. Smooth and creamy hop explosion. I take back what I said about this earlier this week.

 

Yeah. I wish I could have this all the time.

 

Any news if 3rd anny growlers will be available?

on another note, i cracked one of my last moteuka+galaxy cans last night. Once month after canning and it lost a little of the galaxy bitterness and tastes a bit more melony, but still drinking deliciously! I love it when I don't feel like I have to rush though these cans.

3rd Anni is fucking great. I know some people thought is was hot but right out of the gate it was super drinkable for me. Totally unlike AGE or BUTS.

I get a hint of a battle between the alcohol burn and the hops right up front and fortunately, the hop profiles prevail. This shit is dangerous.

 

have we confirmed if 3rd anni will be up for growlers tomorrow? I need to get me some
