I get the impression that there will be 3 base beers. And they will release them with 4 months of age, 8 months of age, and 12 months of age. Kind of like The Bruery's Chronology series.

 

Nice. If that's the case, I'm much more excited.

I'm happy to see these are in 12oz bottles (and not that damn 16.9 oz nonsense). And those labels look really nice for what it's worth.

Anyone know distribution details?

 

By the looks of the bottling line I would say limited nationwide distro. But nothing's been said.

 

Ok, Goose just posted on Facebook that this is the first of 3 releases this year......so I'm guessing not a Chronology thing. It'll hit shelves in March. No specific mention of regions or locations.

 

If it has the price point similar to the Grand Prestige 750ml but only for 12oz this could be a really good thing

4 months isn't very long, so we'll see.

 

Start the rumors that BCBS will be packaged in these 12oz bottles this year.

 

They commented on it some in their Twitter replies. Looks like just the bigger cities, but you can't tell for sure.

 

Thanks to the OP. I hadn't heard of this yet. I for one will look forward to trying these. Personally, I love BB scotch ales, so I hope GI is a success with this one.

 

I was really hoping this would be a scotch barrel-aged stout, so that we could all start to freak out that this was GI's way of getting rid of the "bad" Scotch BCS that never materialized Black Friday.

 

This has peaked my interest. Looking fwd to trying the scotch ale and porter.
