I for one am excited to try this and hopeful that:
a) it is delicious - despite the dark era that was 2015, Goose Island's barrel program has always been stellar in my book so I am confident it will be
b) the price-point is competitive - anything above $8/bottle and I will simply stick to one to try it out
c) it's plentiful and easy to acquire - tie this in with the points above and it's going to be a real winner

 

Heard about this the other day.
Seems like a money-grab. Central Waters has been doing this with their BA line, Founders started their BA line this year (in addition to KBS and BWB), another fad and reason to charge too much money. But... I'll probably buy some....

 

I'm interested, $8 I hope.

If they never make this again, then it won't matter much if it WAS "better" than Backwoods Bastard.

 

I only kid. I'm a huge fan of Bourbon County and their barrel aging in general. I'm sure it'll be fantastic and infection free.

 

Love a good Scotch Ale. Disappointed it's below 10%. Anyone else feel weird drinking a BA below 10%?

I will buy some, probably like it, and return to the store to find it sold out.

I don't spend money on goose Island but I'll be curious to see what others think of the quality

Goose has an amazing amount of space and I'm certain they will end up doing something similar to founders down the road.

But I won't be spending my money on it myself. I'd rather support American companies not owned by InBev

 

Central waters has my favorite one. I don't need to go hunting for this when it's available..
