for those who don't know, next week is the BA drop. Starting monday. check your spots on delivery day. take a half day.

 

Is this gonna land in Fargo/Grand Forks anywhere?

 

BA darkness will be on at the brewery starting Wednesday 2/8. Dropping in stores on Monday 2/6.

 

What a week to be on-call... Monday of all days it drops as well. Here's to hoping I don't get paged while out on the hunt!

 

At least you aren't on vacation in Costa Rica. Can't complain too much though.

I'm in Atlanta so there's that during the BA Drop. Bartering deals with friends.

 

Torn on whether I go and look, especially because I need to drive 2-3 hours to get in on the hunt. I need a connection.

 

BA Darkness should be easy to get this year. My local muni said they are getting 3 cases Monday and only received 2 cases of regular Darkness. This is way, way north of the metro too (Dalheimer).

 

I know it's a different year and things change year to year, but anyone know how long BA Darkness lasted on tap at the brewery last year?

 

I don't believe it was ever on tap at the brewery last year.

My local spot also said they're getting 3 cases while they only got 1 last year. Hopefully it's slightly easier to get this year.

Any BA Darkness sightings on the east side? I've contacted a few stores and most said they won't get it until tomorrow.

 

More than I've gotten. I called a couple places downtown and they seem to have no clue.

How long does it usually stick around most years?

I'm making a trip down next Thursday/Friday and I'm wondering if most places will all have it scooped up by then.

 

Last year was the first year of 100% BA Darkness & it went like lightning. But Surly also released a lot of it at Darkness Day, you could buy one with your allocation, so theoretically there should be more of it this year.

Late next week? I'd say your chances are a hair above zero.

 

I don't know what the distro outside of the Twin Cities will be for BA Darkness, but you may want to try smaller towns and the Fargo area. Previous years I know northern MN areas had Darkness for like 4-6 months after the release. Obviously it is harder to tell with BA Darkness, but also worth a shot as it should be a little closer for you rather than the Twin Cities.

 

This is a good point. I'm hoping maybe Grand Forks or Fargo will have some. Stuff seems to sit in Grand Forks a little bit, so if they get distribution, maybe there's a chance. Thanks.
