Yes and I have one or two left. Very good, and a little spicy. I preferred 4 beans but this was a nice variation.

Fresh Resin. The Crisp is not too bad, either. Fresh.

Have yet to try a Sixpoint Beer, but after reading through this thread and seeing how Sixpoint answers customer questions so directly through this forum, I'm thinking I need to try some.

@Sixpoint, although it is close and am completely remiss I missed out on Puff, I will have to cast my vote for Hi-Res 2017. I was not a fan of last year's iteration (it was VERY astringent), but this year is absolutely divine. My runner-up is the XBeans variants with the preference leaning slighty in favor of 4Beans over 5Beans. That said, all the flavors in 5Beans were all in balance (and would purchase again if you released it next year) but prefer the simplicity of the former.

Assuming Puff will be making a return this year, I will absolutely be picking up some quantity.

Shane...thanks for all the great beers!

We finally got Sixpoint here in Raleigh NC and I have to say that my favorite by a tiny bit is Resin followed by Sweet Action (which I haven't found here yet). So glad I don't have to bother everyone I know to bring me more Sixpoint from bordering states. Of course it is still new to many here so it is flying off the shelf.

I've only tried 5Beans so far. Fantastic beer. I'll try to get some their other ales and lagers in the warmer seasons.

I tried Jammer last year and its easily my favorite gose. @Sixpoint Whats the water profile like? is it on the softer side? whats the ph in the wort? it has a great crisp mineral finish. Outstanding!

Relatively soft water base, and then we add in the Jacobsen Sea Salt. Wort pH gets down to 4.0 and dips below in fermentation, then creeps up a bit. Glad you like it.

I really enjoyed Jammer last year too. I had the second version I think. Easy to drink and real nice after a day of fishing.

    Enjoy

Most of you probably already know this, but barrel-aged versions of the 3Beans, 4Beans, and 5Beans are all going to be released this weekend in cans - Bean Day!

    • 3Beans is the original formulation from 2012, and has cacao, romano, and cold-brewed coffee from Guatemalan Finca El Injerto coffee beans. This time it is aged in fresh Widow Jane Bourbon Barrels.
    • 4Beans has the Madagascar Vanilla Beans addition, and is aged in Rye Whiskey Barrels this time.
    • 5Beans has an entirely new formulation, as the beans this go-around are romano, poppy seeds, a touch of vanilla, chocolate, and tart cherries, and the beer is aged in port barrels.

The Bourbon-Barrel Aged 3Beans will see widespread distribution; the other two will be available for pickup at Sixpoint this weekend if you purchased through the Sixpoint app.

    cheers!
