2017 Australian BIF Thread

    Going to start a thread for this one. So far we have five participants which is enough to get one going. We have:

    @MrKennedy (NSW)
    @sinkas (WA)
    @smithflipper (VIC)
    @spicelab (NSW)
    @Narkee (WA - lol at mentioning myself).

    I am going to leave this open until early next week (@Gasc0igne @danieelol @hawthorne00)

    My idea at this point is the following:
    • Everyone will get someone from a different state
    • Probably keep it simple and exclude swag for this one (open to future opportunities)
    • Minimum of 6 beers - 3 local not ordinarily distributed nationally, 1x Stout or Porter, 1x IPA and 1 of any style origin
    • Beers are to be sent within 2 weeks of sign up close date (I will time stamp once closed)
    • I will then PM everyone addresses of their BIF buddy (please send me your addresses asap)
    • Please send me the tracking details of the box once sent
    • Once you receive your box, please post your haul in this thread.
    I am flexible on these rules and given it is my first time running, happy to receive suggestions.

    If your want, update your want list so members can assist if assigned to you.

    Looking forward to it lads and keep checking in for updates.

    Ok, we are good to go. I am about to send out your targets so please check your PM's when you see this message.

    Rules are as stated in the OP except the final date for posting your beers is 10 February. If you are having trouble meeting this date, please let me know. Once your box has been sent, please provide me with the tracking details. Finally, post your hints and hauls in this thread.

    Should be some fun and I am looking forward to it.

    Hi I assume this means:
    Minimum of 6 beers - 3 local not ordinarily distributed nationally, PLUS 1x Stout or Porter, 1x IPA and 1 of any style origin

    or do you want doubles?

    Box arrived yesterday, huge thanks to... wait.. are we supposed to reveal who we got it from? . Will post a photo of the amazing haul tonight. Can I also say, 10/10 for packaging - better than some of my Nikkor lenses when they arrived from B&H.

    As to my targets box, it's 80% done, just a trip to a certain place near the infamous Montague street bridge and then it should be ready for postage Monday.

    have a selection of NSW/ ACT stuff for my test subject.

    Belter of a box from @sinkas!

    Completely hit the mark in terms of what I want from a BIF - eclectic selection of weird-ass whalez and fresh WA hops that never hit eastern shores. Huge thanks mate.
