Just picked up this bottle rack at Ikea on Sunday. Holds JK genies securely, just barely. Spacing in the racks are too big for 12oz bottles like my Ancient Ones and 120mins. Unfortunately just in my closet for now, figured getting a rack like this would be more aesthetically pleasing than just leaving them in case boxes. Going to be moving into a duplex later this month that actually has a basement that will be perfect for cellaring.

Top 4 shelves are all de garde.
Next two are Rusty+First Nail, Sahalie, Huna 16, DL 16, and 2 JK genies.

Ran out of room awhile ago in my beverage coolers, finally bought an old display case refrigerator off Craigslist for overflow stuff/ to give my wife the main fridge back XD
The big fridge lives in the garage, the two small fridges are pretty nice looking so I incorporated them into my bar setup

Commandeered the cupboard under the stairs, and have been gradually making it beer-storage-ready.

It's a fairly constant temperature, and, being in England, won't be getting too warm any time soon / ever. Plan to use this for storing high ABV stuff / impy's / sours - anything that's okay with room temp.

I picked up a wine cooler on the cheap, and have put that in there for paler stuff that needs cooling.

Top shelf doesn't work - but it's slightly below room temp from the cold below. At the moment I've some Cantillon in the top bit. I'm not overly keen on storing anything else horizontally.

The bottom fridge is awkward becase of the wine "grooves". Ideally wanted another shelf so I could store upright bottles, and more of them. The space in there is just not enough to incorporate a shelf with standing bottle space.
    Any suggestions on bodge-jobs welcome.

Boarded over the slatted shelves tucked into the alcoves - there's one more at the bottom that I'll be doing as well. I just don't need all that space (yet).
Then added some cheap lights to make it look better than it actually is - similar effect to beer, coincidentally.

@PatrickCT I have multiples of almost all of the bottles that they’ve released. I’ve been going to the Farmer’s Market for years so it was great when they started selling there. As far as the cellar goes, I have a few odds and ends (BB Coffeemaker, goses, sours, etc.) but a ton of saisons:

    2016
    Dekkera
    Farmer's Table
    Field Beer Saison: Batch #1
Field Beer Saison: Batch #2 (Sour Version)
    Field Beer Saison: Batch #3
Field Beer Saison: Batch #4 (Spelt)
Field Beer Saison: Batch #6 (Rye)
    Field Beer Spelt (2016-)
    Hibiscus
    Nature
    Second Nature Cherry
    Second Nature: Peach
    Solstice
    Table 2
    The Gardener's Tale
    Tiny House
    When Life Gives You Grapefruit

I’m not sure how they will all hold up but I’m willing to find out!!!

Nice. Kent Falls is my favorite CT brewery. Give a shout when you try one with some age on it. Cheers!

I recently tried the Hibiscus and it seemed to be falling off... just a heads up! Kent Falls is definitely producing some great beers. Cheers!

I needed to reorganize my temp controlled beer 'chest' after things started getting a bit too crowded. Decided it was a good opportunity to take a group photo:

My wife got me a Whytner wine fridge for my birthday so I was able to get my collection out of boxes. Even though my beer collection is relegated to a closet in the garage I'm happy with how it displays. The smaller Wine Enthusiast fridge is what I bought a few years ago when I first started my collection. I keep both fridges at 50 F because of the range of styles. The doors on both are glass but the closet stays dark unless I'm in here taking pictures.

I like how deep the shelving is in the Whytner fridge. I think it's made to store standard wine bottles laying down, but it was easy to adjust for storing bottles upright. Before anyone cringes at the DIPAs on the top shelf -- I keep all my beer here, so perishable stuff is in the front for easy access.

Raj - the "Whytner wine fridge" looks great and, as you pointed out, the depth is solid. Can you be more specific which model it is? I did a quick scan on Amazon and couldn't locate it. I appreciate the guidance!

Sure! It's available on best buys website
    http://www.bestbuy.com/site/whynter-124-bottle-wine-refrigerator-black/4526304.p?skuId=4526304

It's a decent size for the price. Apparently the fridge can store 124 wine bottles. I'm mostly storing bottles upright and a few of the bottles laying down on the lowest rack. I think I probably have 90-100 large format bottles (650or 750 ml) and maybe 20-30 or so small bottles in there.

We are adding a second story to our home, which forced the beer into my detached garage. Not perfect, but stays pretty cool all year round. The two drawers are Slaapmustke and Cantillions only.

    Thanks...

I started putting this cellar together just over 2 years ago so it's at that weird stage where I want to drink beer from it all the time but I also want most of these beers to sit for another year or two. I think it takes at least 3 years of collecting until you have a cellar that can be consistently pulled from on a regular basis.

Hey Raj, nice set up! I got something very similar with couple wine coolers as well. Took out few shelves so I can store bottles standing upright. Purchased mine from craigslist and other secondary sites at a good deal. Best investment I ever made with my beers!

Question for the wine cooler guys - how many bottles of beer would I get in this (mix of 75 and 33 cls)?

    [IMG][IMG]

It's made for 138 wine bottles (lying down), most of the beers will be upright.

I'm currently bidding on it in online auction as were moving house in April and I will be losing my cellar but gaining two rooms.

Also any tips on adapting the shelves would be welcome.

    Cheers.

Finally got my cellar moved out of the closet and got a temperature controller/freezer. Love it so far. Wife is happy to have the closet space back, moving 140 beers was fun though.

Thanks! A handful of Belgians, sours and brett stuff in there but essentially just a glut of Stouts and Barleywines haha
