I think so. Regular was $20, and BA was either $25 or 30.

The beer manager at my local Binny's said he hasn't heard anything about BA Darkness coming in this week. Also to check back later this week, if they get a surprise shipment, or next week. We'll have to see

Surly's IL twitter confirmed it's coming this week.

    *sigh*

    Cue the madness.

I am glad I caught it on tap in December, it was one of the best barrel aged beers I had this year.

I want that pretty bad, but I just know it's going to drop at like 2 PM and it will be long gone by the time I get there.

On the plus side, it sounds like there's more of it this year from the Darkness thread in the Midwest forum. I guess that makes sense considering it wasn't at Darkness Day.

This is why I've basically stopped drinking beer at this point. It's gotten way too expensive and it's really pretty bad for my stomach.

Thankfully there are other hobbies out there :grinning:

I didn't get to try last year's, so I'd like a bottle this year. Not even sure I'll chase it every year, but I'd like to try it at least once. Hopefully the truck gods are good to me.

I stop by every now and again. I'm completely dry since Jan 1st but when I break that spell I'll probably have a beer every now and again. I at least need to drink the rest of what's in my cellar. I do like seeing what is coming to the market though.

    Dry since January 1st?

Mods, can we get Hawks banned from the site, please?

I traded for a '15 bottle last year (can't remember what I gave up for it), but it was a top 5 stout of the year for me. I will be making an effort to score a bottle, whether by buying or trading for it.

The sleep thing is honestly unreal. After you stop drinking the first few nights I couldn't fall asleep for at least an hour, was just restless. A weekish later I'm asleep in like 3 minutes every night and actually feel rested the next day. It's wonderful.

I don't doubt it's really good; the main reason I want to try it, though, is to see whether it obscures the things I really like about Darkness, or enhances/adds to them.

I had a few ounces at DLD from a generous person in line. I remember it being pretty great. However, I would like to drink it in a setting where my palate isn't under assault and my memory isn't hazy. Also, I've had a lot more great beers since then considering I wasn't a true rare beer chaser yet.

I had BA Darkness last April on draft and it was very good. I had it at Mornin' Delight and it was really great. So if you grab one, think about sitting on it for a bit
