What beer are you drinking now? #1570

Celebrating the 3rd day of a 3-day weekend and the purchase of our new car (a 2012 Tahoe with only 35k on it) the only way I know how. Wife is drinking her Napa red I got her for Christmas. This is 3 weeks old and in its prime. Better than I remember. Cheers all.

 

Dedicating this post to Lady Gaga.

That was my first experience with her and a solid B- performance...always gotta leave room for improvement, and I would NOT want to be the talent next year.

Incredible game last night, lots of chatter around the office. Overshadowed by the hype surrounding the game last week was the induction of another outstanding class of professionals into the hallowed shrine at Canton. For me, it was all about this guy….



I still recall that gloomy day in ’99…..gloomy in a figurative sense since I was stationed in Puerto Rico at the time….when long suffering Rams fans like myself had our fragile hopes dashed yet again upon hearing the news of Trent Green’s devastating season ending injury.

Nobody believed him. Hell, we had no idea if the dude could even play and Vermeil was half sobbing when he tried to convince us. Turned out to be a prophet, as Kurt helped fashion the Losingest team in the Nineties into The Greatest Show on Turf. I can still picture that broad frame standing resolute in the pocket in the face of a coming blitz, throwing to a spot well before the receiver made his break, holding my breath in anxiety as the ball seemed to hang in the air a lifetime before finally coming to rest in the outstretched arms of Isaac, Tory, Az, Marshall, or Ricky in full stride for yet another huge gain. Absolutely f*cking Magic!

I waited 32 years, some waited longer. Turns out we were all waiting for someone like....

#2, a nice, hop-stinky Bosque IPA, to go with these chips and queso (left-overs from some minor game last night). Werd. Cheers all...

 

The Stranger's pretty happy with this 6% Stout but it's too watery in my opinion.
