Hunahpu's Day 2017

As I said earlier...beer list is still in progress. A number of breweries still haven't decided/committed to what they are bringing. CCB always have a plethora of offerings

 

So I feel that the top 5 beers posted so far are all from Voodoo and 3 Sons:
1. Scoop a La Mode
2. ManBearPig
3. Double Barrel Summation
4. Black Magick (Rye Whiskey Barrels)
5. Lumberjack Morning Break

 

Agree but would add Fremont rusty nail and BottleLogic. Is the Fundamental Summation a collab with 3sons or just happen to share summation in the name?

I count 146. Is Cycle really not going to be there?

 

I don't know. I was quoting CCB's Director of Retail Operations (who basically runs the show for Hunahpu ever since the one year it was a shitshow). He said the list of breweries was final. And the number he said was 144.

Cycle had not participated in the past. I know they did last year...but most years they just do their own thing (BA day)

 

Ah, fair enough. They've got 146 on the website (though that could be the 144 + CCB and their mead operation).

 

Cycle has never been at huna day.

 

Surprisingly showed up last year, but they brought Crank and a Wine Barrel Aged Stout that was not even deemed good enough to bring to BA Day the day before..I think they must have brought one keg of each only as well as they were done serving about an hour into the event,,the relationship between Cycle and CCB is "tepid" at best so no surprise they are back to not showing up at all

From what I understand this is specifically for beer week. This was told to me by mgmt...specifically because people do not buy beer and then leave a huge mess.

 

My understanding is Cycle and CCB get along just fine. Cycle is big enough/good enough to do their own thing and don't feel the need to participate in Huna Day.

I got a good laugh out of someone requesting that CCB bring less good beer to their own beer festival.

 

Directly from management at every place. People fucked around and ruined shit for all of us last year.

People left huge messes of 100s of bottles that were half full all over the place, food, trash and shit everywhere. People were throwing up all over the bathrooms because they couldn't handle their shit. People wouldn't tip the bartenders or buy beer.

 

These people piss me off beyond belief.

Listen up you amateurs: if you can't go out in public and act like and adult just stay home where you belong.

 

That's the new blood, trendy, craft beer people.

 

If the mess was that bad, it sure sounds like those that were respectful and appreciated the brewery's allowing a bottle share were in the minority...It doesn't sound like a small group ruining it for all of us.

 

Sorry if this was covered but is anyone doing a hangover day event? I recall hearing of one last year but couldnt attend.

 

What's this? V8, pedialyte, tylenol and gatorade cocktails? Neck massages?

 

7venth son does Huna hangover day. Last year they hosted one at both of their locations.
