Bad Weather?

Not in the area you're looking but if you're desperate there was a good amount in the cooler at Princetons in Maple Grove this morning and a bunch hanging out on the shelf at Top Valu in Columbia Heights this weekend.

 

Not "south metro" but south minneapolis. Definitely saw it at SLL and F44 this weekend. It's a really tasty brew. Very surprised by how good it was.

 

I've seen it recently at the Liquor Barrel, just down the street from their taproom.

 

Blue Max tweeted that they had it last week.

 

Are you sure the liquor store wasn't being sold? I have been to liquor stores that are trying to sell and they won't buy any new products.

 

Total Wine Bloomington/Edina has it.

 

I've avoided Bad Weather on principle for awhile. I was at a beer fest in Rochester in 2015 and I had a TG hoody on. I stopped at the Bad Weather stand and the gal pouring asked me where the brewery on my sweat shirt was and where they were from.

When I responded "Decorah, Iowa" she said "I didn't think there even were any breweries down there, as backwards as it is".

Maybe I'm being silly, but stuff like that really grinds my gears. The beer wasn't good enough to make up for the server's rudeness (and cluelessness, all things considered), IMO.

 

There's a really good chance that she was just a local girl hired to work the event that doesn't actually know that much about the beer scene.

I wouldn't hold it against Bad Weather. It's not their fault Iowa is so backwards.

 

At least we have basic freedoms - like buying beer on Sunday!

 

"Driftless Farmer"...Really?? Even your "handle" describes you as backwards...This is why we can't joke w/ ANYONE...Everyone is too fucking sensitive these days. But feel free to come back at me hard. I assure you I won't hit back w/ anything as brutal as: "At least we have basic freedoms - like buying beer on Sunday!"....That was such a GOOD burn!!!

I responded to what I took as a good natured rib with - wait for it - a good natured rib.

Maybe I made the mistake of assuming that I didn't need emoticons for that to be understood. One can never be too sure when engaging the fragile Minnesotan psyche. (just so no one misinterprets)

 

When you look at the area as a whole, it's really impressive how many great breweries exist within or along it's confines between the 3 states.

 

I'm not sure why you're so upset. Driftless was pretty clearly being playful, while you seem like someone on a genuine crusade. Do you have a Tin Whiskers connection, or something?

 

Yeah man, we're on the same page...I certainly thought your response was light-hearted and a validation that you didn't take my comment personally. Good natured ribbing all around!
