Made my first swing into Menace last night. Nice job turning an old auto body shop into brewery/taproom. They left the concrete floors bare, basic white walls (like Holy Mountain) with some local, outdoor themed art. Brewery is on full display in the side area. Will be outdoor seating in nice weather. Will be a popular neighborhood/family spot.

They had an Amarillo IPA on that was solid, but coulda used a bit more Amarillo (I loves me some Amarillo) the Chili Bravo was tasty, and 3 other beers. Plus Structures Fuzz as a guest tap.

The pics I saw on FB looked different, but certainly could be. The article above mentions being "near the amphitheater" so it could be. I'll ask.

And, yes, it is the the location where Collective on Tap used to be.

Aslan will be installing a new brew system in a couple weeks. They're taking out the existing 15bbl system, and putting in a 30bbl system. They're also gonna be releasing a new light lager in the near future.

Long Bright Dark was fantastic. Can't wait for the rest of the True Detective beers.

I had another one last night, and while not bad, these things just aren't pushing my buttons. Shrug. YMMV.

Kulshan is scheduled to bottle their Barleywine soon. It will be bottle conditioned for a few months before release, look for it mid-summer.

Ditto, drinking some right now. I think Structures is making my favorite hoppy beer in WA, and they have made it very easy for me to not miss living in Seattle. Also really liked Die in Haze even though I'm not a huge fan of triple (and I use the term grudgingly because to me it's bullshit) IPAs. Now if only someone would make some nice English style ales and serve them on cask I'd be a happy man in up here in Bellingham.

Those seem rather hard to find anywhere up here.

On that note, I still need to make a trip to Brewers Union Local 180 down in Oakridge, OR. They specialize in English ales on cask.

Machine House in Seattle. I know they send their stuff to Yakima regularly so maybe Bellingham too?

Derp. I shouldn't have forgotten them, since I had their Elm Hill Special Bitter on cask recently and enjoyed it.

Yeah, they're on fairly regularly at The Local. The North Fork does some "English style" stuff, but, IIRC, nothing on cask.

#GetDusty ! Boundary Bay canned 600 cases of Cedar Dust IPA today. 100 cases are already out to local stores, 200 cases will be going to distro tomorrow, the remaining 300 likely won't last long. $9/12oz sixer at the brewery, likely a buck more at stores. Another 800 cases to be canned in three weeks.

Just made a quick swing through the Food Coop to spot Dusty in the wild. $8.49 a sixer, through the end of the month, then it'll be $9.49 on the regular. I believe the delivery drivers will be dropping it at their Skagit, Snohomish, and King county stops today, so it should pop up.

In something of a surprise, it appears that the North Fork has been sold. The owner of Diamond Jims, a local diner, is said to have bought it, and plans are to not change a thing. Seems that Sandy and Vicki, the founders, are ready to move on with life.

Presumably, that means the Brewer was not also the Owner? He's sticking around and continuing his routine?
