Visiting Pomona

    Heading to Pomona this Thursday for a concert. Concert is near Homage Brewing. There is also Sanctum Brewing a little farther away. Haven't had any beers from the two. I only have time to visit one place. Any recommendation between the 2. Will also hit up the Rookery Alehouse & Grill for grub and more pours just before the show.

    Sanctum has some good beers. Odd location though. Rookery is awesome, good choice!

    Rookery usually has 1-2 on tap each from Homage and Sanctum anyways so you can try the other one there. Easy thing with Homage is it's like 100 yds from Rookery and Glasshouse/Fox so park once and just walk to everything.

    Ya, been to the Rookery back in 2015 last time I went to a show at the Noisebug. They were fairly new at the time. So the 3 are all in the block. So park and walk. Nice to see some brewery's in the area now. Theres another place in the same square block that has some taps and bottle offering. db-something or another. Corner shop.

    Homage is a must. Great beer line up from NE style IPA's, Brett IPA's, Stouts and BA sours.

    Back in the day would just drink 40's in the car then get in the Pit at the GlassHouse. Saw the refused there it's an awesome venue. Pomona has changed a lot there for the better.

    LOL. The last time I got into the PIT was at a Metallica gig. 47 years old wearing a $350 Oakley sunglasses. Never saw the glasses again. It was in pieces all over the grass. Too old for that
    sh!te man.

    I've been to Homage a few times and would say they are definitely worth a stop. Haven't been to Sanctum yet.

    Homage Brewing in Pomona was a surprise last night. It was better than I expected. Their haze IPA > We've Been Had I would put up against any of the west coast haze evolution. The Resonator was right up too. I would definitely stop in Homage again on my next visit to Pomona.

    Yeah, I too thought that We've Been Had was as good as or better than the hazys from any of the "big boys" out here which I've tried. Homage's other beers are no slouches either.

    I've been here about a half dozen times so far and would go more often if I lived closer. I tend to go at the less busy times such as on weekdays shortly after they open, but can imagine they get pretty busy later in the evening and on weekends. As word continues to grow I think they'll be one of those "must hit" beery spots for a lot of people when in the LA area.

    Not sure if it'll still be on tap by Sunday. And they do fill growlers and even better > crowlers. I think the crowler fill prices are on the higher side > $15+. Not sure on growler fill prices. They have been open for about 8 or so months. Maybe that's why they are more on the higher end > $$.

    I'm on my way back west on the 10 and was hoping to check out Homage finally but they are closed. Are any of these other Pomona breeze were stopping at or should I just go home and drink Highland Park cans?
