Backwoods Bastard is good, but CW BA Scotch Ale is better. The GI could be good too, will have to try it.

I already have great access to central waters BA scotch ale, if it's easy to get and not crazy expensive I'll try it, bury here are plenty of great barrel aged beers right now.

So not a single bottle of Bourbon County huh? You're a stronger person than me. I love that shit even if an InBev product. Keep sticking to your principles. I'm more than happy to consume your allotment.

Think you're confusing his post with something else...

Maybe next they'll come out with a BA Stout with vanilla, chocolate, etc.

I thought he was asking the price of the Cooper's Project. If not then I apologize.

With this being aged for only four months, I highly doubt it will be on par nor better than Backwoods Bastard and the like. However, I can still see it being decent.

Not at all, I think that is exactly what he was asking. I just haven't seen or heard anything from Goose Island to suggest this will be a four-pack release... The bottles look like the 500ml type they've done BCBS in the past two years which would not be conducive to such packaging.

They are 12 oz (355ml) bottles and will be available in 4 packs.

I still come across it from time to time at friends houses. But no, don't.

The hardest part isn't actually BCBS. It's not buying Sofie at the grocery store

The wide availability of Sofie is one of the reasons I love ABI's acquisition of Goose Island. Nothing like being on a business trip, staying at a hotel miles from real civilization, and being able to get a 4 pack of world class brett saison at the local gas station for a reasonable price. Thank you, Anheuser-Busch InBev!

I just read through the write-up, and to my displeasure, it looks like it's only partially BA...

"Furthermore, although each beer will be described as “barrel-aged” for four months, Siegel said, the Scotch ale is actually a blend of the original recipe and the barrel-aged beer. “We specifically didn’t want that bold, in-your-face boozy flavor,” Siegel said."

I'll just keep hoping that someday, somewhere I'll find Sprecher Commando again.

Scoth Ales are always fun and enjoyable to try. I won't chase after an unknown quality brew, but I'll at least start asking shop owners about it around release date time to try and get one. If its <$10 a single 12oz I give it a whirl.

I hope it's less than $10 for a single 12 oz... that would be more expensive than BCBS while this is a smaller bottle and spent less time in barrels!
