Yeah same here. The one barrel had a blow off tube. So he's fermenting something in a barrel. Sour maybe?

Maybe. Looking forward to something other than hoppy or big stout from Troon. (Not that I haven't enjoyed those so far)

Jesus christ, I stood with Alex for 10 minutes talking beer and didn't even realize it was him. This dude gives @Timmush a run for nicest brewery owner award.

Went yesterday and was very impressed with everything. Brought one growler to get filled but ended up leaving with 2, buried without your funny bone and obligate scavenger. I can't wait to go back again!

Finishing my last 32 oz growler (split with the wife) along with my Conclave 32 oz growler (one saved for next weekend). From Friday night through today, my wife and I have only had Carton, Bolero Snort, Kane cans, Conclave and Troon half growlers, plus my Kane Vengeful Heart bottle. It's now possible to only drink NJ beers and be satisfied.

Stopped by this weekend and all I can say is god damn these beers are good. Gotta agree with others that Alex may be one of the nicest brewers I've met. Very personable and seemed honestly interested in what you thought of his beers. Wish him nothing but continued success and would recommend this place to everyone.

He mentioned it was a sour when I was there Saturday. Funny Bone and Obligate are easily as good as any New England IPA I've had anywhere else. Blown away! I'll be back for sure.

    Absolutely, love those darn empanadas.

By the way, nice write up on Troon and Brickhouse at your blog. We were probably there at the same time Saturday...likely Conclave as well same day. Lol...

    Thanks. I really appreciate it.

I definitely did both. Got to Troon at around 4:30 - 5 and ended up leaving at 8... somehow.

Hitting up Troon for the 2nd time this Saturday, this time we're gonna hit the Tavern. Seems fancy but it sounds like there's a bar menu that's different?

Menu is exactly the same from what I know. But there's pub-ish items (burger, empanada, etc.) on there aside from the main dishes and entrées. There's also some small plate items as well.

And I have to lol at my post above, I said Brick House rather than Brick Farm. I feel like there's quite a few Brick "blank" Tavern places in existence nowadays. Clearly this is confusing to me.
