Good Morning BA, have a great Saturday! Once again overloaded on work projects this week, going to be doing some overtime today an tomorrow from home. Need to reassess a new vehicle program, and make a presentation to management on Monday again. My management has been having no problem giving away overtime hours, since I have been doing the work of two people for the last 2-3 months; after they revived an "old" new SUV program thats been cancelled and brought back like 4 times now at this point. Beers this morning:

One of my favorite sweet stouts, glad it's year round now. Big flavors of milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, strawberry, cream, caramel, toast, light coffee, and light herbal/floral hops. Balanced bittersweet roast and earthy hops; great creamy/silky medium bodied mouthfeel, and smooth finish. Hope they bring back the BBA version again; it really enhances the overall ice cream vibe of this beer, but the base beer is still completely excellent, and a far better price. Hope the barrel aged version makes a return soon.

Amazing DIPA! Glad I keep finding more singles of this. Flavors of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, peach, apricot, mango, papaya, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, and pine hops; moderate honey, light caramel, and lightly toasted biscuit malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, and peppery/spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced sticky/resinous hops and grainy/bready malt creaminess in the mouthfeel. Increasingly drying resin finish; minimal hop astringency. Just flat out incredible. Insanely bright and dank on hops; nice malt backbone without being sweet. Nice mix of earthy, citrusy, and tropical hop varieties. I wish this was a year round beer, but I'll keep grabbing more while I can. It's holding up very well right now.

Fantastic batch this year! Definitely feels like an improvement over the bomber version in 2015. Flavors of big dark roasted coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, vanilla, rye whiskey, toasted oak, light charred malt. Hint of coconut. Fair amount of roasted coffee bitterness and rye whiskey/oak spiciness on the finish. Medium-full body and very creamy/silky, with a touch of sticky/chalky roast/barrel notes in the mouthfeel. Slightly drying. Never boozy, mildly warming for 12.2%. Glad I was able to get 2 6 packs, still have plenty left. The price was just too good to pass up again. Glad they made multiple shipments.

Revisiting this review after over 4 years. This was awesome! Flavors of big tart cherry, passion fruit, mango, strawberry, melon, pear, lemon, green apple, grapefruit, red grape, oak, pepper, hay, straw, and grass; with some light notes of leathery funk, red wine vinegar, and wheat/bready malt. Fair amount of fruity/lactic tartness and yeast/tannic oak spice on the finish. Medium bodied; balanced lactic acidity, tannins, and bready/grainy malt in the mouthfeel. Slightly puckering with increasing acidic/tannic dryness; never astringent. Crisp and easy drinking. Will definitely grab again to cellar. Impressive complexity with the Cherry/Passion fruit juices; with nice funk and oak presence of classic JP character. Only 2 months old right now, can definitely see this developing further in the future.

This is the first Rum barrel aged Belgian Dark I've had. To be honest, the Rum wasn't that pronounced. But I am a big fan of the Belgian Dark style.

Supposed to be getting a little warmer this weekend. I'm hoping for some melt so maybe I can find the pieces of my mailbox that the plows took out.
This will be a work on taxes weekend. I'm hoping maybe a little refund this year.
    Have a great weekend, all!

Was unsure if I'd had this before, but it appears I hadn't reviewed it, so purchase made. "Glass"ware isn't too bad, but maybe a glass from Walmart is in the plans today.

Hopefully the most bland photo of the day, Sur Citra being the highlight in this one. Not sure I would've enjoyed this one a year ago, but hoppy sours are growing on me.
