I honestly believe the only reason he is attempting to come thru is due to the fact it got personal. I truly think "life got in his way" and gave him BA amnesia, but when his Twitter, Facebook and all of his other accounts blew up, life stepped to the side.

I'm sure at the very least, he sent you a picture of the broken bottle on the floor? Minimal effort at all turns.

 

Personally I would just have him ship, more time is probably not a good thing. Just have him get more local $ for $. I have a feeling that "life is getting in the way" will occur again.

 

Based on the sequence of events, which we see all too often, I don't think this guy ever had any intention of shipping. He used the broken "star" of the box as his reason for yet another delay, and now needs to find a good replacement but it's going to take time. I do agree with you though. It'd be interesting to see the OP force his hand and say fuck it, ship the locals and be done with it. I eagerly wait his next excuse

I'd call his bluff and tell him you will save him the shipping charges and the trouble of hunting down a Mexican Cake replacement or other local beers. Have him send you a check for the value of the beers and be done with it. If he balks at that you'll know it's a hopeless cause.

 

I understand but I think my suggestion was the easiest way to put this behind you.
Hoping he comes through for you but personally, any beer this guy sends would leave a bad taste in my mouth regardless. I'd rather have his $$$ and buy my own beer at this point!!!

 

Ban this guy, and note his IP addrss so he can't join under a different user name.

This guy clearly has no intention on fulfulling his end. Anything OP gets (which I doubt he gets anything) would be things you could pick off any shelf, anywhere.

Where are you in Illinois? I'm in the south suburbs. Life has gotten in my way and lost a family member and others in the hospital still. But I'm have a coffee cake I'm more then willing to hand off to you tomorrow! To make up for some shit bag that doesn't want to keep his word on bottles.

The Mexican Cake is *gonzo*, basically the main beer in the Fantasy Football box.

He also owes *another box* to @Mateo2699 from another BIF

I realize the whole concept of these *bad trader* threads is to entice the trader to follow up on their obligations. But how long does the OP have to endure this ongoing *endless* drama? Is this someone anyone wants to trade with in the future? Does this BA really bring something to the community? (0) trades and (51) posts in 4yrs. (2) unfulfilled BIF's.

Seems active and trustworthy to me (inserts sarcasm).

He has not been on BA in over a month and a half. As far as I'm concerned, he doesn't even have to comment in this thread, although that seems what most would do if they had any dignity.

Logging onto BA atleast shows your still interested in the site at a bare minimum.

I agree with John, that I don't think he had any intention of fulfilling his obligations.

There are offers from BA's, including myself, to make this right.

@Ditkastache Since he is not logging onto BA. Send him a message telling him to ship the 90oz of locals and glassware by next Tuesday, if you already haven't done so. It should take 3 to 4 days tops to get to you. If he doesn't provide you a tracking # by Wednesday, please report back.

Bottom line:

If he doesn't give you a tracking #, his account will be gonzo and I'll personally send you a box, with a Mexican Cake. End of story.
