What beer are you drinking now? #1591

My customary early Monday morning beer. I can't think of a better way to start the coming week? I haven't had a Xocoveza in a while and I'm finding that the once powerful cinnamon is slowly fading making it even more drinkable than ever. The perfect accompaniment to this crisp cool morning. Let's try our best to have a great week!

Breakfast orange . . .

look: 3.5 | aroma: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 3.75

Light amber gold color with white cap and good lacing.

Aroma of sweet malt, citrus hops, touch of the promised orange but orange scent isn't prominent.

On entry the first sensation is full malt body but the taste seems equally divided between malt and hops. Rather simple flavors that run smoothly together but their paths don't seem to cross. Orange is there, in scent and flavor, but not so much. I think what I'm wrestling with is usually the fruit flavored brews that come my way are wheat based rather than malt an this one may be just a wee bit heavy in the body for the orange to shine.

Texture is rather full.

Overall it's a nice twist on the citrus flavored theme without presenting anything new yet it's not boring.

 

Good morning BA's! Drank in black last night watching the Oscar's in honor of Bill Paxton, R.I.P. One of my top two favorite underrated actors along side Bill Pullman. Loaded up the Netflix que so will be paying my respects for the next week or so. Cheers everyone!



Back before Lionsgate won Oscars they gave the man his director debut. Great movie!

Having grown up as a midwestern pro wrestling fan, anytime I hear this song I expect the Road Warriors to come running in and just beat the living snot out of somebody.

Starting the day off with this. Really nice, rich and tasty, not too sweet. Glad I got another to age for a while. Cheers!
