Coming soon to the LCBO

At the time I didn't know who was in charge of it but I tagged Stones Instagram in a photo of the best before date hoping they could get in touch with their Distributor.

 

Yea CBS is a rarity itself to even see it in the states. I think LCBO is getting there with a few good american brews. I was actually shocked to see stone and oskar blues recently. Came to Ontario 3 years ago and its a huge jump from what I saw on the shelf. So its good to see some good brews from the States. Hopefully they keep it up. Everything does seems to be seasonal and doesn't stay on the shelves, unfortunately. But what would I know I've only been here for 3 years. Firestone would be amazing to see next but doubt it.

 

Btw just heard Cafe de Bastardo is going on LCBO.com tomorrow apparently. I got too impatient though and drove to summerhill today.

 

Horizon reps Stone in Alberta and there is dead stock everywhere in this province and hearing the same thing about Ontario from industry friends. Would just contact Stone over this.

 

Holy shit the Uerige Alt is fantastic. The best before is December 2017, anybody know when it was bottled?

I am absolutely surprised by how hoppy it is. It tastes really fresh.

 

So Cascade just sold out in about 5 minutes.

Just talked to a rep from Founders. Confirmed KBS and All Day IPA is coming to LCBO with kegs of All Day as well. Then bringing in some other beers into the LCBO seasonally as well.

 

Rumour is that KBS has already arrived in LCBO warehouse this week and is undergoing testing.

 

Think they are readying for release on Founders KBS week?

 

"Testing" ? Lol. Idk why it wouldn't be released for kbs week but it couldn't be long after that. I hope its not like a Summerhill only special release

 

Considering I'd have to drive 5 1/2 hours from Montreal to get to summerhill you and me both. XD

 

Further perpetuating rumours ... IIRC, stock is to be similar in number to the units of Oskar Blues Ten Fidy that LCBO received in December, which was a decent amount. Although limited at first, distribution of that did get much wider. I doubt KBS will hit LCBO shelves for KBS week (which is next week, and distribution for that event is really only within Michigan), but I'd like to hope that the usual annual April 1 release date is a possibility for us.

 

Numbers I saw for comparison were Ten Fidy - between 8,500-10,000 and Stone Xocoveza: 8,630. KBS to be 9,216 (less those that become subject to "testing" I suppose).

 

Giving you guys a heads up, KBS is hitting shelves in approx. 2 weeks.$7.25 a bottle

Same. Though I might buy a case. Know a lot of people in the states that Have a hard time getting more than 1 bottle so I can make a trade or two

 

Hearing reports that we're getting the 2016 version. Anyone have the inside scoop?
