Dude, I got so carried away with the beer talk I forgot to give you my congrats on the new addition to the family. I hope all is well.

 

This bottle is from last year's release (07/23/16). I tried it when it first came out, though only a sample with others and I never got around to reviewing it. It just popped up again in stores, so I figured I will review this 7 month old bottle first and maybe get a fresh one to compare to. I was told that this pairs well with seafood, and since that's what I'm making tonight to eat I figured I would crack this open and enjoy the experience together. Very citrusy and refreshing, tart limes, some salt, with a malty crackery base. I didn't even realize that this is a blend of 3 different styles, a Berliner Weisse, Gose, and a Kölsch. A nice new addition to the DFH lineup I think. This might have gotten a little more sour with time, though still very approachable for a sour beer. Cheers!

I had a chance too buy two bottles of this on Saturday at $9.99 each and passed .
I hope I don't regret it .
The last FW OS BB I had was tasty, but really thin and expensive for an 8.5 abv bottle.
