I've found the chocolate to be very prominent, with the bourbon and coffee taking a backseat. That's ok with me. Found a place selling 4-packs for $11.99. At that price, the only better value of recent memory was High-Westified.

Would that place be near Cleveland by chance?

No, just across the border in Beaver County, PA.

That probably explains the 11.99 price. Sadly it went up this year in Ohio. Was 14.99 now it's 15.99. :slight_frown:

Well worth it in my opinion. I've picked up 6 bottles, that will do pig, that will do.

From what I saw it went pretty fast. Saturdays tickets at least, not sure about Sundays.

Visited Brewdog on Saturday... Was really impressed overall! The space was beautiful, it will be amazing in summer with the big doors open and the patio and such. Food was really good from what we had, beer was pretty good as well although at this time all imported (beer brewed on site won't be for another month or two it sounds like). Fantastic guest taps! JO Dark App and Berliner, JuJu and a few other options.

We will def be back when they are in full operation! Better than I expected.

So, gotta give a HUGE shout out to Rick, Jeremy and crew at Willoughby! Nut Smasher release was maybe the best bottle release I've ever been to.

No lines, easy to get a table, easy to get samples, easy to get bottles too. Just a super calm, wonderfully run event that was really fun. Been to every single Nut Smasher bottle release and this was by far the best they've done. Talked to one of the owners and they have obviously learned from the past.

Only slight negative is they wouldn't allow additional samples (besides 1 "guest" sample of Nut Smasher and Vietnamese Nut Smasher) or full pours until after 3PM. I know that they have run out of draft very early previously, but would've been nice to have had a little more on tap. Again, very small complaint for an amazing event!

Anyone have any thoughts on how difficult it would be to get ahold of a 1/6bbl of peanut butter cup porter

Saturday they gave us full pours around 1pm, or so.

Very well ran event. I was there last year too, and it was much calmer Sunday. Not that they did a bad job before, but it got crazy at the beginning of both sessions with people flooding the place who didn't have tickets. In fact, we had been there for almost 2 hours and our server was only able to get 2 of our 3 pours, so I love the ticketed only drafts. I just wish that it was a snifter of each per ticket instead of 2 samples. Only thing I thought was better last year was the guest drafts. But Ju Ju was available both times so you really don't need to offer anything else:slight_smile:

For what it's worth, I was still there at 3 and was not aware of the full pour option.

Couple new IPAs hitting this week:
Heavy Seas The Alpha Effect ("Hazy IPA"), and
Shorts Cat's Pajamas DIPA (w/ blood orange and guava).

Both sound really intriguing to me. Anyone had the Cat's Pajamas before? That one sounds really good! Been loving Shorts' hops, for the most part, since they came to Ohio not so long ago.

Also, looks like a couple premium, large-format bottles from Hi-Wire are appearing too:
    Brett: Foeder Saison;
    Wild Rye IPA.

Makes me expect the release at the saloon and taproom relatively soon.

From what I was told today, the Taproom will have one keg of Super Juicy. Don't think they will be doing growlers. As for the brewpub, there isn't any there yet. They have kegs of Juju but they would have to "treat" them if they want to make them. Not sure if they will or the growler situation on that.

Surprised they're not upping the production of the Super Juicy with the hype it gets.
