I've learned that it's more about the science/fun/experience of doing beer verts than finishing every last ounce in the bottle. If finishing every ounce of the bottle is important to you (esp with huge beers like this) than do the "vert" over the course of days (or in CR's case weeks).

Yes I understand they are giving CR the same release treatment as BT. I was just trying to point out that while the prediction wasn't 100% accurate, it is pretty close (more public release of an previously hard-to-get Bruery beer).

It's a fun weekly podcast although mostly west coast beer focused. They had the three weavers team on this week. Would love to see them get other half or singlecut or hill farmstead on there in the future.

I've never regretted not finishing a bottle, but I sure as hell have regretted finishing one.

All I know is The Bruery is going to really have ego kill it with the exclusives this year for me to stay around. The draw of larger quantities isn't worth the price of entry for me.

That said, they've done pretty well so far this year. Hope it keeps up.

I agree for sure. Being a student I can't exactly afford 24 bottles of CR, but I can definitely afford 2-3 bottles of something unique.

I just did the full 6 yr vert on Sun. (Need to clear up space in cellar) Not much to it...had a bunch of friends over (about 8) and cracked em all open one at a time. we spent about 7 hours chilling, eating, enjoying them.

I would only recommend doing it with friends...

That would be INSANE! I couldn't imagine ever scoring a growler fill of any of the BT variants!

What would be more insane is 375ml bottles lol

That surprising? I just asked them the other day, and they want to send a refund. No equivalent /replacement.

As for CR... looking forward to it! I'm glad it's hitting for the public. I don't think it dimishes the RS membership. This year is going great thus far!

Man, the butthurt is rampant on Instagram! People are acting like Chocolate rain is brand new, and the ONLY society exclusive beer ever brewed! Let's buy them all a glass of Rue d'Floyd and talk them off the ledge.

During Christmas they offered fills of anything on tap for one day only. I snagged a PB& Thursday. It was epic.

Totally agree with this. I may not have a way to purchase or even consume 24 bottles of CR, but smaller batches of exclusive beer is where it's at. Hopefully they will follow through on a very similar plan.

Black Tuesday has been publicly sold for several years now. My first bottles in 2013 were bought publicly, before they did the lottery thing.

As far as CR being public, as long as we get a case offered to us to buy, I'm fine. I don't load up on beers like that to trade, I drink them. If I can buy a case or more, I don't care who else gets it. I do however want beers that are marked HS or RS only to stay that way. Hoarder's Cuvee going to RS last month was damn irritating.

is it me or did the public release of chocolate make that beer
which was your favorite? were they notable different?
man a 6 yr vert of CR from 375 would be amazing! i remeber filling out a survey where they asked this, im sure it was an overwhelming yes, how come they haven't made the move yet? even Firestone has!

Yes, I remember that glorious day. I think it was the first time ever they did something like that?
If only I was a hoarder that day...!

PB&T bottles released to Hoarders just now as well as more Beffudlement and BT (2016) for RS. BT price raised to 32.49 before discounts.
