To help find their beer, outside their brewery (they have their own tap room, where you can buy, drink, and fill growlers), use the following link:

    http://cartonbrewing.com/find-our-beer/

    More info from their website

Tasting room availability is posted on Facebook on Wednesday and Saturday before the sessions begin.

Special releases: When there are new cans we set up a table downstairs for efficiency, but outside of those first couple days they are upstairs in the tap room, which is staffed by really nice people.

    FAQ

To enhance the Carton brewery experience, the following local food recommendations have been suggested.

http://www.kunyasiam.com/ basicly across the street and BYO, very good thai that a growler of Dub rounds out nicely

http://www.thecoppercanyon.com/ serious level southwestern versions of jersy restaurant food the place we make Carton Canyon for

    https://www.beermenus.com/places/19405-gaslight
owned by the copper canyon guys dependably aspirational pub grub good craft list

http://www.ahwinebar.com/restaurant/ proper NJ bar with boat on tap

http://www.christinesitaliandining.com/ small place proper restaurant Italian BYOB

these are just the one's on our street and just the highlights at that there are also 2 pizza places, 2 delis a good bagel shop and a proper diner

there's also great Mexican place and a couple more pubs like chubby pickle in highlands. bahr's/mobys which we make wit whale for is classic shore seafood and 2 of the 4 places doing that right there

best bet is tell the tasting room servers what your'e in the mood for and how far you'r comfortable traveling and they will guide you well

I finally lucked out on getting some Carton near my work. The Buy-Rite in Cranbury had cans of Boat, 0077XX and Unjunct. Looking forward to cracking these open!

Yep. I had never seen Carton cans in stores before (I don't get out much). Then I walk into Shrewsbury Wine & Liquour a couple weeks ago 10 minutes after their Carton shipment was dropped off! Cases and cases of Carton! I bought too much.

Just cracked open a AOE. Held up really well. Lots of orange and citrus rind on the nose. Pretty much all the hops have faded but I expected that. The booziness also faded a bit, still there but not as prominent as it was. The smell is just fantastic though. Slightly overripe orange peels.

Edit: I need 07750 in my life. My favorite dubviant.

I'd love to have 07750! Are they canned at Two Roads? We don't seem to get them in NYC but have seen IDIPA and now Unjunct stout. Both of which were pretty pricey compared to other brews contracted at Two Roads.

Most likely if NYC gets any variant it will be 077-10014

From what I understand dub and the variants as well as Boat are done only at Carton itself due to the fact that they require Atlantic Highlands water.

Correct. You won't see these in the type of distribution that IDIPA, Unjunct, and the upcoming Two Roads batches have.

Yes, they should have at minimum 2-3 cans available.

They post Wednesday what is available and typically update it if things run out.

Looks like right now they have Boat, 077xx, 07750, Unjunct, and Gilded Lily

I'd also highly recommend the 32oz capped growlers of Shipwreck Porter. No idea why those always sit around there a while.

I second picking up a bottle or two of the Shipwreck Porter. I also suggest getting a 4 pack of Gilded Lily. It seems to be polarizing beer but in my opinion it is terrific.

Also make sure you bring an empty growler or two. B.D.G. and Red Rye Returning are available for fills. Red Rye is one of my favorite Carton offerings.

I think shipwreck sits around because at this point who needs a new 32 oz growler every year? For this reason I suspect most regulars or semi-regulars are not buying it. And even newcomers probably have similar sentiments. Add to that the fact that porters are not a very popular style and it is not surprising it sits around. Good beer though.
