Sounds like it will be a really nice spot once the 'pocket park', beer garden and boardwalk connected to the existing wetlands boardwalk is opened

Questioning if the additional parking is necessary ... sounds like these people didn't do their homework for how popular a destination this would be.

I thought the same thing. They should be asking the opposite....is the extra parking enough?

I hope this isn't too late for Lawson's to get the hype it deserves.

Since when has Lawson's not had hype?

Excellent. Now I have a good feel for where this. I'm excited to have this just up the road from our place in Rochester. It will be amazing if they can ever mainstream beers like Double Sunshine and make those available regularly.

I wonder if they will cease brewing SoS at Two roads and move production back in-house...

Was it ever in-house? I thought they had always brewed Sip at Two Roads.

Questioning parking and stormwater runoff is a standard in VT. it seems like nearly every aspect of any type of construction is debated in endless planning board meetings

I'm saying because if he'd done this two years ago he'd probably have tree house lines, which have taken a life of their own (because non-craft beer nerds are hyped to go there), but now it will probably be like Alchemist.

Alchemist had all the hype of being able to walk away with mixed cases - including Crusher & Focal which many people had never tried before. They were also "down" for retail sales for a while while the brewery was under construction, then opened up during the summer to massive crowds.

I expect Lawson's will draw a pretty significant crowd initially, but they're nowhere near the household name that Alchemist is, and for that reason I'm sure a good portion of the "normal" craft beer drinkers out there won't flock like they did to Stowe.

I disagree. I can't speak for the trade world, but in terms of tourists visiting Vermont, "Sip of Sunshine" is definitely up there with "Heady Topper" now. You hear about equal amounts of people looking to hunt them down. People don't know "Alchemist" or "Lawson's" names the way they know "Treehouse"....but they all know "Heady Topper", all know "Sip of Sunshine".

I think that's correct, but they could always move it in-house (just not "back" in-house). I bet they keep the Two Roads production but maybe begin some production to VT. It's not like it's not sought after...

My understanding was that Two Roads does cans and kegs were done up in VT. Not sure if that's accurate though...

Its funny how Tree House and Trillium are known by their names but Lawson and Alchemist are more known for a specific beer. Whenever Sip of Sunshine is in stock anywhere in MA it sells out in under an hour but the other day I had no problem buying Lawson's Super Session IPA #2. Trillium could release "Smells Like Farts Double IPA" and people would clamor for it but you get past SoS or Heady and people have no idea what they are missing. I think its the same for Fuzzy Baby Ducks or G-Bot, you know those beers more than you know New England Brewing Company.

I'm pretty sure SoS is only brewed at Two Roads

Yes, It's always been brewed at Two Roads. Test batches in VT, but production's always been at Two Roads.

Yeah, I had Sip for the first time in early 2014 (on tap) and I think it was being brewed in Vermont then, but I'm not sure about that.

From Sean on April 4, 2014.

Sip of Sunshine IPA! American Double IPA 8% ABV
I am very excited by our newest project, which is a partnership with Two Roads Brewing. I traveled to their new brewery to brew up the first batch of this beer on March 17th (St. Patty’s Day to us Irish folk!), which also happens to be the exact date that we sold our very first keg six years ago!

And the only reason I'm reaffirming that it's always been brewed at Two Roads is because I still see people say, "once Two Roads started brewing it, it changed for the worse." Lol

In all fairness he did brew the earlier batch(s), even though at Two Roads
