Good morning friends!
Done with my run of night shifts. It always seems to end with a "bang". No shortage of excitement last night.
Now cooling off my guns with one of my favorite stouts, Stillwater On Fleek! Best by September 2018. Cellared for about 6 months.
Loads of dark fruits and roasty notes. Very very smooth for 13%!!!

This is my favorite imperial stout and probably in my top ten overall beers. At 27 months, the hops and bitterness are gone. Smell is cocoa and tobacco. Tastes change to mild tobacco, leather and faint dark chocolate. This is one of the only beers I've had that can be uniquely different at 1,2 or 3 years, yet be enjoyable all the same. Drink well Advocates

 

A local IPA, made right here in Colorado Springs... not bad at all. Hadn't had it in a while. The owner/brewer is a veteran hence all the lil' martial cues here.

 

I should be drinking something barrel aged with the cold weather today, but fresh hops are calling. A big thank you to BA extraordinaire @WesMantooth for sending this world class beer my way. Like Hop Juju, it's another 'haze buster' with it's transparent color and big taste. It's been a couple of great weeks for beer from some generous BA's. Thanks to all!

 

Snow has already melted away, morning runaround is done, time for mid morning homestead craziness, and time for some Ash vs Evil Dead and a beer.

 

I'm playing the same shopping Monopoly game, brother. Beer certainly does make it easier when every game ticket you get is one you already have, but your beer choice takes that to a whole other level!
