First time I heard of this one. At first I thought you meant Fourteen. Ha. I will have to look for this one for sure. Is this their version of east coast haze style?

No it is not their version of east coast haze style. It's just an unfiltered DIPA.

Fortem is awesome, like Pliny with stone fruit notes. Had two pints at the restaurant, then picked up a four-pack and the #properglassware at the store:

    It's hardly that unfiltered.

This looks good. Haven't been to the Venice location yet. Doing a double shift today, but thinking of leaving 2hrs early and stopping by before heading home. How much for the 4pk? Will this be in our local stores? Or brewery only? Cause if it's like most of their releases it doesn't show up 2-4 weeks later. I can pick up Luponic D #5 too.

I honestly can't remember the price . . . $16 or so? Not sure about distro, but I do know the glass is awesome and in limited supply. Here's a great article/review from Paste: https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/03/firestone-walker-fortem-review.html

    EDIT: 14.99 per 4-pack

I don't understand what that even means. Can something be more unfiltered than another unfiltered product if they both had zero filtering?

Some people still don't understand that unfiltered does not equal hazy/cloudy.

So this takes the place of Double Jack but every quarter it changes like LD. Too many choices these days.

Wasn't OG Nelson unfiltered? I know it wasn't haze. I dont think we had a haze catagory then. And what about Heady? Unfiltered, not haze.

Cloudiness/haze comes not from unfiltering (is that word?), but massive dry hopping. I've heard that Tired Hands even introduces flour into some of their beers, but I don't know how to confirm that. Maybe @JackHorzempa?

I read elsewhere on BA (can you believe there is more than just the Pacific forum?!?) that FW's yeast is highly flocculant so even their unfiltered beer is quite clear.

Yup, it has been reported that Tired Hands uses flour in the production of their Milkshake series of beers.

    Cheers!

No, I'll try/buy it when Costco has it half off across the street in 2 weeks.

I'm impressed with this new Fortem DIPA. Not much unfiltered to it. But oh so smooth and tasty. Also trying their Gen 1 and Propagator 1 Hop Series with Azacaa hops. A little lite on the Prop 1. Also impressed with the atmosphere inside.

Ditto. Picked up a 4pk last week and thought it was really smooth.
