    Drinking a (so-so) Bock in honor of the 25th Cincy Bockfest, which opens today and runs through the weekend in the Queen City...it attracts over 35,000 people and is billed as the largest Bockfest in the US - if not the world

    Also, a year ago today, my little Stella gave birth to 6 kittens....that was a fun day!

    Lunch Time = Refresh Time.

    Cellarmaker's current batch of Moonage Daydream uses the JW Lees yeast that Cloudwater Brewing brought with them from Manchester, when these two collabed during SF Beer Week.

    That makes this Pale far more chewy and creamy than your standard 5.6% beer. It's fuller than most 10+% stouts!

    This one didn't pop as much as others, and has a darkness to it that could signal oxidation

    But I'm actually digging it as the best I've had from the batch so far. Still has a slightly "stringy" bitternes, like I might think the bag that holds the hops tastes like. Also, I used some older hops instead of the fresher ones I intended to use for dry hopping :slight_frown:.

    I've definitely done better and worse. This is probably just below average in enjoyment, though I feel this beer is technically better (less off notes) than some others I enjoyed more. More learning under the belt. Cheers!

    On that local DIPA action, and scored some Sunday Morning Stout before all the truck chasers did (working down the street from the beer store has its perks!)

    Seeing these bands in May with my girlfriend. She doesn't really like metal but still wanted to go lol. She actually doesn't mind some Sunbather, and hell...she might end up really enjoying the whole show.Cheers!
