Made it to MdR on Sunday. Back in Denver to wrap some things up, but I'm really looking forward to settling in and checking out the local and LA beer scene. Keep an eye open for some gatherings in the near future, too.

    Cheers!

Having lived in both NorCal and SoCal for over a decade each I would strongly disagree. I'd say SoCal and even the Bay Area have way better options in breweries and distribution than NorCal. It's frustratingly bad here sometimes. What part of NorCal are you from that has better beer distribution than SoCal?

Just saying that because I live here. Not a serious discussion. I would lump the bay area in nor cal though.

FWIW, climbing/mountaineering forums typically divide the state as NorCal = Yosemite and north. I have no problem with that...the folks in favor of the State of Jefferson might however.

Lucky for you, "The Propagator" is literally in Marina Del Rey! Great place. They have nice stocks of bottles too. Got some Sucaba when I visited last and turns out they are'nt releasing a vintage this year.

    Welcome to CA!

There's also Simmzy's on Washington Blvd by the beach which sounds like it'll be walking distance for you. They generally have decent brews on draft.

I live two blocks to the east of the FW Propigator. It'd be a pleasure to meet you there whenever.

I used to work close to there and frequently went to The Propagator and Yard House on Maxella. I've since switched jobs to be closer to home in Redondo Beach. We have select beer store which is a very solid taproom/bottle shop is you're ever down south in the beach cities.
