Just opened a bottle to sip on during the debate tonight. Wow. It's drinking great. I get a little less raspberry in the nose than I remember last year but more in the taste. And it's very, very smooth and well integrated. Killer job Old Hickory.

I agree that it is drinking great. I liked it last year but it is 100 times better this year. The mouth feel is incredible. Very smooth, and flavor is just right. The creamy mouthfeel, raspberry, and stout come together to taste like a raspberry cream filled chocolate.

Grabbed 3 @ $14 + tax per at Total Wine in Durham yesterday. They had maybe another 10 in the fridge, and I have no idea if they had more on the shelves or in the back. I didn't have time to check.

Had my first one last night. Awesome beer! Like chocolate covered raspberries..delicious. Some of the negative comments had me worried that I was a victim of hype but this one lived up and then some. Were some people calling this beer thin? Gonna grab a couple more bottles before its gone.

Are you referring to the reviews?

I liked the 2011s but I think they nailed the 2012s. It's thicker. This year and isn't quite as dominated by the berries in the nose, IMO. Really good beer.

Didn't taste it, but it looks like motor oil cut with Robitusin being poured....

Have had 2011, '12 and Bramble in the past two weeks. While '12 is a little thicker, it still doesnt have the mouthfeel or berry taste of a Bramble. The '12 is great fresh, but for me, Bramble is still a better beer all around. I will say the nose on the LP is tremendous, but the taste doesn't match up.

I have to disagree with Shilt on this. I'm think he has it backwards. I have to agree with what many on here have said regarding the raspberry of the '12 vs '11. '12 is less on the nose but more on the taste hands down! I think with the 2012 LP, the mouthfeel is better than '11 and has way more berry taste than the '11 or the Bramble. The bottle of Bramble I drank I def. didn't get close to the amount of berry flavor. It was pretty muted, and not really any raspberry, mostly blackberry if any berry. Def. different beers and the LP is chocolately and VERY raspberry-y. I'm a huge fan of this beer and personally think it's a better beer all around than GI Bramble. Love it or hate it, Lindley Park is a downright fantastic beer. I can't get enough. HOME RUN OLDE HICKORY! I want to drink this with a slice of White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle Cheesecake!

I'm still blown away reading this that you actually drank the beer. The nose absolutely matches up to the taste...the nose is remarkable and the taste takes it to another level.

I guess it shouldn't be about what beer is better, b/c they are both GREAT beers. I still say Bramble isn't as awesome! To each his own I guess. Lindley Park rocks!
