Good morning BA, have a great Sunday! Not much going on today other than my normal bottle returns, laundry, and catching up on some work stuff for tomorrow. A pretty normal day ahead.

Incredible DIPA! Taste of huge grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, papaya, mango, lemon zest, orange peel/rind, and pine; with light-moderate honey/bready malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy dank hop earthiness. Good amount of pine/rind/herbal bitterness; with a very smooth and sticky/resinous mouthfeel, with a bit of balancing of bready malt creaminess. Nice dryness from sticky bitterness; with no astringency from hops at all. Very smooth with minimal warming 9% ABV. Just as amazing as I remember when I had it last year. Thanks to @The-Adjunct-Hippie for the trade extra.

Awesome quad as always. Huge flavors of raisin, plum, fig, cherry, date, apple, pepper, clove, and light banana yeast; with caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted biscuit, and light nutty maltiness; with some herbal hop and yeasty earthiness. Fair amount of yeast spice on the finish; with a great balance of yeast and malt flavors, with no overwhelming sweetness. Some creaminess and slight slickness in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing spicy yeast dryness. Well attenuated overall considering the ABV. Really all around excellent for an American made Quad. Will keep grabbing these singles. Looking forward to Blasphemy again this year, will definitely pick another one up.

Always incredible. Flavors of nutty dark roasted coffee, milk chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, cream, caramel, toffee, toasted dark bread, light smoke/char, and herbal/piney hops. Bittersweet balanced roast/char and herbal/piney hop finish; with an awesome fullish bodied creamy/silky mouthfeel; with light sticky/chalky roast/hop bitter dryness. This feels a bit too bitter/hoppy when I've had it fresh, but I keep finding 1+ year old singles on the shelf, and they all have been tasting absolutely amazing. I need to grab some more peppermint to see how it's doing now after the age. It was too bitter when I reviewed it last year, as was the coconut this year. Will revisit both in due time.

Still tasting amazing. Flavors of coconut, vanilla, spiced rum, milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, toffee, brown sugar, toasted dark bread, oak, and light molasses/coffee. Light roast bitterness and rum/oak spice on the finish. Full-ish bodied and nicely creamy/silky in the mouthfeel; with some light sticky/chalky roast, and a touch of roasted dryness. Lightly warming finish; no barrel booziness in the flavors, but there is a bit in the aromas as it warms. Very smooth, rich, and complex. Lots of coconut and rum, but still very well balanced with the base beer. Glad I bought a lot of these, still plenty left. Probably my favorite variant they released so far. Got completely shut out from triple mash unfortunately, super limited. Next release will be soon though, it is going to be Mexican Spice Cake! Just got label approval last month. Will definitely be stocking up. Love pepper stouts.

    Cheers

We spent yesterday visiting family in Maryland and didn't arrive home till late last night so I didn't have time to post. We enjoyed some very good local beers.

Double Duckpin DIPA from Union Craft Brewing Company in Baltimore. It was superb with a nearly perfect balance of sweet tropical fruit, malt, and bitter, biting hops. This was a WOW beer for me.

Lucille Two, an 8% Oatmeal Stout brewed by Pale Fire Brewing Co. of Harrisonburg, VA. I wasn't expecting much especially after Double Duckpin but this had lots of chocolate, vanilla, and coffee along with the oatmeal. It was great after dinner. I'm glad Mrs. Mac agreed to drive home!

Photobucket is up to it's old tricks this morning. I cannot upload a new photo or even get a link for a recycled photo. Enjoying a Founders Imperial Stout as I get a brisket on the smoker. Only 15 degrees outside so I'm having a real tough time getting it up to temperature, probably poor planning on my part.

All the way from Lithuania this is an Amber lager called Ungurio Kojos (transleted as "Eel Legs" in exported bottles) brewed by Raudonų Plytų Alaus Dirbtuvės (Brick By Brick Beer Workshop).
