Did this last year. The BCS was a '12 and the Brown Shugga was a '13. Delicious.

    5oz of Noa Pecan Mudcake
    +
    4oz of DFH Fort

They worked beautifully together. A boozy chocolate covered cherry stout creation.

Had some blends that were really tasty.

2016 Avery Tweak (17.5%) + Bull and Bush Maple Stout (6.5%) - incredible. All the flavors of tweak with a maple element and a smooth quaffable body. It's still 11% and dangerously drinkable. Tweak is such a thick, flavorful beer, mixing it really tempers that edge and pushes it into coffee maple chocolate velvety goodness. 4:5 ratio (lighter on tweak)

    2014 BCBS + Superstition Meadery's Berry White
On the sweet side yes but this extends the sweet tart flavors of the Berry White and adds a light layer of milk chocolate to the mix. The Berry White completely dominates and nearly erases the flavor of the BCBS which is impressive. 3:1 ratio

Homebrew. Buddy made a 9.5% Belgian Quad, that was very well done, but a touch too sweet to enjoy a full glass. He also made a 4.2% light ale for Sunday football sessions (not quite sure what it is). We tried a blend of about 2/3 quad to 1/3 light ale, and seemed to made the quad alot more drinkable and still extremely tasty.

Lagunitas Sucks and Hop Stoopid went together pretty good.

Had about a quarter glass of abraxas and BCBCS 14 last not (on draft), and decided to mix 'em together. Figured that's about as close as I will get to trying coffee abraxas, it was quite delicious.

I've done a half shot of Crown Royal Maple mixed with Xocoveza. Absolutely fantastic.

My friend poured me half a Blue Moon and topped the other half with Lindemans Framboise. No shame in saying it was delicious.

I find that mixing DFH 90 with DFH 60 in a 50/50 ratio outshines both of them on their own.

Trying to get around to doing a blend of death by coconut and founders breakfast stout. Anyone have proportion suggestions?

I recall previously that there'd been some mentions of combining two beers in a single drinking vessel. Been awhile though, so I'm posting this for two reasons:

    1) Is that something you do/have done? Any particularly interesting result to such, whether surprisingly good or even so memorably bad that you'd like to warn people against it?

    2) ...real talk, I've recently taken a mug that was halfway with a cheap ass high gravity malt liquor & retopped it up with a double IPA I had forgot about that was in the back of my fridge and honestly quite enjoyed the result. So much in fact that I would gladly buy an actual brew that aimed to come off like the result of that. Does something that's like that (imagine for example a 50/50 of Steel Reserve & Lagunitas' Hop Stoopid) exist? I imagine conceptually it'd be akin to a highly hopped & strong cream ale, since the cream ale style tries to split the ale vs lager difference.

    Recent threads on blending--

--I really find it is hard to improve on the brewers original work---

except for perhaps Steel Reserve which can only go up.

Ive enjoyed death by coconut added to Mephistopheles. Meph is so hot and boozy that bringing down the abv and adding the coconut flavor was pretty delicious.

Pouring a Sam Adams Chocolate Bock into the same pint glass as a Sam Cherry Wheat is to die for. Tastes like a cherry cordial.

I've seen people mix Founders Rubaeus with their porter and imperial stout. Local bar even did the latter combo on nitro.
