Because he will be pouring beer for all his friends from the side of the tent instead of making them wait in line. Thats been is MO at Huna day for years.

 

The last year Huna day was in the parking lot at CCB, a guy called him out on this and I thought for sure they were going to start throwing punches

 

Does Champs list their beer list online anywhere?

 

Are ubers generally easy to come by for this event?

 

I'm going to guess it won't be super easy considering the fact that there are several other large events going on in downtown Tampa that day. Regardless of how hard or expensive it is to take Uber, it's still a better option than driving for several reasons.

 

Yea just deciding which hotel to stay at Marriott and pay $$ or out near airport and use ubers.

 

Does anyone know where to get wine shippers in Tampa, St. Pete or Clearwater???

 

OK, I still haven't heard anything about this, any bottle shares going on at the hotels again this year??

I think this is probably the best bet. People will be there at 9 lined up to go in and all crowded together. It's possible that you could be sitting in the direct sun for 2 hours. Vs if you wait until 11:15, it should take minimal time to get in. You may miss one or 2 whales but there will be plenty of great beer and some stuff gets tapped later in the day too. Showing up at 10 is probably the outlier of what people will do.

 

Jug & bottle has them for $50. If you're in town for a few days order from Amazon prime. Shoulld only cost you @$10-15.

Planning to have a share at the Westin Harbour again after Huna as we did last year.

 

How do you guys have a bottle share after the festival? I think my liver would shut down after that much drinking - plus there's no way I'd be able to fully appreciate the beer after that much drinking.

 

Oh, I totally agree, but someone will be down there looking for shippers to bring back FLA beers and will pay the price for them

 

I end up drinking at a friend's pool after Huna Day every year. If you just have a good buzz at the end of Huna Day opening bottles sounds like a good idea. It's 3 hours later that you realize you've made a horrible mistake. I end up falling asleep by 8 and drink about a gallon of water beforehand so it works out.

Every beer you have add a glass of water and all is well.
