Yeah, Blissful Ignorance is great but not really in the NE wheelhouse in my opinion.

I totally agree that it is not a NE IPA. I think Hooey is closer, but not quite there either.

I was just pointing out that Lupulin is calling it a NE, so people maybe more prone to post about it in this thread rather than just because it is hazy.

Speaking of haze though, Hooey sure is pretty.

I would say yes. Mr. HoppyPants was also a very good example of the style as well. Just my opinion though.

NE IPA's are known to really fall off fast. Freshness is very, very important. Often it is best to drink them at the brewery because by the time they are canned/bottled and distributed to stores, the flavor & aroma may have really faded.

I'm going to try and stop through Rochester next week, anyone know the best place to find a current list of Forager beer available in Crowlers? Not sure, but it looks like their webpage isn't up to date.

Oddly, I've found the opposite to be true for myself. 3-4 weeks is my sweet spot.

Agreed, less than 1 week and it tastes "green". 2-4 weeks is fantastic.

I would agree with this as well. Can be a bit too oily too early depending on the particular brew. Especially with big mosaic presences. Just my experience.

Dang, wishing I could make a trip up to Disgruntled this weekend for the Stupid Good crowlers. So good. If anyone is making a trip up from the cities PM me.

I like how the glass is a little different.

their twitter had their current tap list as of yesterday. Do your self a favor and stop in to grand rounds and grab a Beer J. too. Also monday they should have a new Citra/Mosiac on tap and they fill crowlers/growlers on demand, unlike forager. Forager, only pre crowl's so it varies daily.

I was at Forager yesterday and their session IPA was the only hoppy thing in a crowler. Decent was as good as it was Saturday night, though, so do yourself a favor and grab a glass if you can.

Just got the text from my buddy, "Mo Citra, Mo, Problems" being tapped at grand rounds tomorrow. Mosiac/Citra with golden promise malts. He said, similar to axe man but less bitter. Peanut butter porter photo bombing. 8.5 DIPA

If Grand Rounds is doing something well, it would be hazy IPAs and flavored stouts/porters. That peanut butter porter looks legit, and their coconut stout is good as well.

Sorry that was a peanut butter stout NOT porter.

I am a sucker for Golden Promise malt IPAs and it just so happens I will be in Rochester Friday. Never met a peanut butter beer that I did like however. Hitting up Grand Rounds and Forager early. Too bad LTS is not open until after I head out.

    Does grand rounds do crowlers?

    PS: Insight "East" = Mmmmmmm

*shhhhhh* It's on shelves and unfortunately paired up with the mediocre "West"

This is really, really good. (yes, yes, it doesn't touch Other Half and Trillium and Grimm; but it's an awesome local NE brew!)
