I'm 3000 miles away so the cost of pots in the tasting rooms is of no importance to me whatsoever. That said, I think the Bruery's response was excellent. It continues to be a brewery I am glad to spent money on.

OK, regarding the pricing discussion.. We've voiced our concerns. The Bruery engaged in the conversation. They explained their position. They listened to their customers. They made some adjustments based on the discussion.

So as this discussion comes to a close, I felt compelled to open a bottle of BT 2016 to mark the occasion.

And I am left this one conclusion.

D@mn! This is a good beer.

    cheers.

As a show of good faith in our ceasefire I opened a 2017 Mocha Wednesday and something is wrong with this bottle. While it tasted delicious the more I drank the more euphoric I got. I finished the bottle and now I can hardly walk. Stupid cat videos make me laugh and cry at the same time. I just tried calling my ex from 10 years ago. I think there is poison in this bottle. Anyone else have this problem?

Honestly, I feel pretty stoked on both ends with how this whole thing turned out.

Customers and Loyal Bruery fans voiced their concerns and opinions. The Bruery management offered their perspective and explained their reasoning. We responded, pointing out examples as to why we didn't agree 100%. After hearing what we had to say, The Bruery made adjustments to better reflect our feedback. We all go back to enjoying great beer at what I consider to be a fair price.

...and personally, I walk out of this feeling prouder of what was already my favorite brewery! I can't think of any other business who would have handled this any better. Again, cheers to ALL of the fine folks at The Bruery!

Opened a Hoarders Cuvee tonight (thanks to the shipping center for getting my shipment out this week when it looked like they were backed up!!) with family and, likewise, that is a pretty delicious concoction that blew all of us away. Really glad I was able to pick up some bottles in the recent-ish sale.

The latest emails have said HC2017 is on the horizon, does that mean it's coming pretty soon? Would be a bit earlier than last year, yeah? Excited to find out what it is!

Finally tried this year's WC and it's tasting great--like I remember it before pasteurization.

This is my third year in RS and was PS before that. I'd call this the best start yet.

OK. I felt COMPELLED to open a bottle of 2016 Mocha Wednesday myself. Still tasting great and exhibiting all the same effects.

So did Bruery sell out of all the allocations for March or did they pull it yesterday as some kind of strategic move?

First round of allocations ended yesterday and they'll start the second round tomorrow

Yeah I know. Does anyone know the reasoning for this? Are there some market neckbeard psychology forces at work?

Part of the new policy for this year's allocations. The first period is one week, then if there are any left they may go up for a second round after.

Does anyone know the purported point of doing this? Most businesses just sell their product until it is out. . .

Searching for a bottle of Wiki Wiki Tart. Has anyone seen this in stores or tasting rooms?

That seems like a question for Patrick or Joel. The rest of us can only speculate what the actual purpose of it is.

Nice! I did the same thing last month. Seems like they usually let it ride out until the next morning when someone comes to the office to "cut off" the allocations section.
