We are all still thinking this is in some way related to beer right?

So random question. I've been thinking about this. Why, since canning, can't Tired Hands put a beer in the top 250? Small batch can't be the answer. Curious on opinions here.

Why can't small batch be the answer? I'm not disagreeing with you, I just never look at the top 250 so I don't know what's up there.

Small batches need to be 4.5+ to even crack it. Beers with more reviews get weighted more heavily.

Why do you care? The top 250 is a joke.

I think the list represents a pretty good sample of top beers once you get past the first 50 or so of hype. If you don't want to answer there's a scroll past option. Tired Hands is quite hyped and for a brewery like this now canning it should have happened, but hasn't.

Pineal and Alien Church are almost right there if I am seeing the #'s right. There is a pretty high level of haterism that you have to consider with Tired Hands; which are all valid reasons to underate their beers and attribute it all to hype.

Chairs, hipsters, fried chicken, diacetyl, DIPA millionaires, mango chemical burns, heavy metal, Jean's expressions of his mind, growler grenades, underpaid staff, time travelers, ecetera ecetera....

The answer is the cost of the cans and the hype. When people pay $20 a 4 pack they expect some hyper tasty suds.

I went to the Fermentaria tonight for dinner. I usually only go there once or twice a year. I live in Philly, but simply do not go out of my way for TH beers.

The lack of variety at the Ferm is disappointing. IIRC, they had one saison (Saisonhands, basically on tap at all times), one sour (Rust and Decay II), and one pilsner (Trendler). The rest of the dozen or so were IPAs and pales. No dark beers whatsoever. I love their saisons/Belgian styles and wish they had more on tap. I need to go to the brew cafe, I guess.

Tacos were dank! And so is this growler of Pineal I am crushing. I can't believe I have not had Pineal until tonight. Cheers

The high prices for Tree House beers do not seem to impact them.

    Cheers!

That, and the lines, are how you know it's good.

So, that is something that Tired Hands has in common with Tree House: high prices and long lines.

So, why are the Tree House beers very highly rated on BA (4 of the top 10 of the top 250) but not Tired Hands?

    Cheers!

Well, Tired Hands is in the burbs. You've gotta drive all the way out to the boondocks to wait in line for Tree House. :stuck_out_tongue:

In all honesty, I like Tired Hands a lot, but it's not as good as most of what I've tried from Trillium and Hill Farmstead. (Never actually had Tree House yet. One day, I'm sure.)
