Well allocations are a bit different than just product for sale, so that's not a terribly great analogy. During the allocation period, members are guaranteed a certain number. Extending the allocation period actually limits the amount of time to sell leftover product, which is why I suspect they shortened the windows. This way they're able to put up the second window of allocations or even just free-for-all much earlier.

Well, the bottles aren't first cone first serve, so having two allocations helps move stock from people who don't want to max to those that want to double dip

I know when it came out they were selling it at Trader Joe's stores. I heard it was exclusive to TJ's but not sure if that was true or not. I bet you could call the stores in your area and they'd tell you if any were left.

Thank you Bruery for listening and I will be back, I was all for some sort of increase, I still feel your growlers are a little high but at least the taster price was reduced. We can agree to disagree on that but at least it won't break the bank at the tasting room.

"Selling until you're out" implies no bottle limits which doesn't allow them to guarantee access to all members.

It allows people who want to buy more than the month's allocation of a given beer to do so.

As someone who forgot to fulfill my allocation request, i'm a bit bummed.

Three months into the year, after nearly five pages of earlier discussion about the new policy, and you're confused? Damn.

I wouldn't worry. I suspect you will get a second chance. With chocolate rain going public and none of the others being "must haves" I would be shocked if you didn't get a second chance. Having said that, I am ok with not ordering anything, Beret sounds pretty average, and while I like chocolate rain, it is my least favorite weekday beer.

I ALMOST did the same thing but got it in under the wire. I'm not complaining about the new system, but I am used to having more time to dither...

The Bruery sent me a reminder email.

Three total emails... First on March 6th announcing the beers, another on the 9th showing the beers again, and then a final reminder on the 11th explaining that allocations closed on the 12th at the top of the email.

Maybe they should implement a text message reminder that pokes you daily until you give them money for the month.

Guaranteeing a certain amount for each member for the first round. They also need a day to fulfill the wish function for those of us wanting more than the guaranteed allocation. Then they need some time to determine how much is left to figure out how much to allow for second chance allocations. Just a guess but they probably don't track the burn down day by day with some fancy spreadsheet wizardry that constantly adjusts the second chance allocation numbers for when that time comes.

I'm currently drinking a Room for Me. Holy shit is this beer amazing.

Opened up room for more yesterday, loved it.

    Similar as room for me?

No idea. I'm still drinking through 2015. It just made the short list of beers to move to the front of the line though.

I really need to stop buying beer. Is anybody else here at almost a two year backlog? I wish I was kidding...

I liked Room For Me more than Room For More. But I drank the Room For More fresh and the Room For Me had like a year on it.

This is why I basically stopped buying any beers not included in membership unless it is something I absolutely want, and even then I will only buy 1 or 2. I think I have only purchased Mocha Wednesday this year from the bruery. I pretty much am only buying IPA's that I know I want to drink in the next few weeks.
