Boeheim's thoughtless and ignorant comments about the city of Greensboro, ignoring its broad historical connection to the very existence of the Atlantic Coast Conference, not once, but at least twice, is not forgivable. Of course, I'm one of a large number that somehow still has trouble believing that Syracuse, Louisville, and Notre Dame are in the league at all. Time moves on and money rules, but ignoring history certainly is perilous.

Fair enough. As a Nova alum, I spent many a days/nights in Ardmore just down the Main Line. Lets go with Tired Hands and Villanova.

    Cheers.

If the thread can tolerate one more...

Ever since Syracuse decided (for football reasons) to join the ACC and Boeheim was forced to leave his beloved Big East, he has done nothing but bitch and moan. Even as an alum of one of the charter ACC schools, I really have no problem with Syracuse joining, especially since Boston College is a member, but Boeheim should either retire or shut his trap about how put upon he is at being forced to play in the ACC. Louisville and ND both add value to the football and basketball ACC competition.

Well, I would say Upland and IU, but after a horribly disappointing season, we aren't dancing, so.... I really think Villanova's gonna repeat, but since we have a couple shout outs to them already, I'll say Monkish and UCLA (suburbs count )

I agree with everything else you said but Notre Dame certainly doesn't add to the ACC football competition.

Of course it does. While they are an independent in football, they are required to play 5 games a season against ACC teams. Despite not being at the level they have been historically, they do add a top school to the out of conference schedule of 5 ACC teams each season.

They don't share bowl money with the conference if they make it to a BCS game and get to keep their NBC deal money as well. To really benefit the conference the ACC should get a full-time, fully bought in team to be a permanent full fledged member of the conference.

Back on topic, supporting the Wolverines I'd say Jolly Pumpkin in Ann Arbor.

All I said was they "added value." They do. I get the rivalry.

I would nominate a beer from ACC country, but I don't live there anymore.

My 11 year old son heard me read this to my wife, a UCONN grad and he chimed in with Tree House "it's not in the same state, but close enough".

There are 4 craft breweries almost as close to Seton Hall as Anheuser-Busch. Twin Elephant in Chatham, Climax in Roselle Park and Cricket Hill and Magnify in Fairfield.

Yeah I almost mentioned those. Bolero Snort too, but they aren't in South Orange proper so I didn't mention them. I probably should've. Anyway, I was sort of poking fun at the fact that there aren't any any South Orange (which is a shame, I'm a Seton Hall fan). I checked google and it looks like there is a small brewpub called Gaslight. Haven't been there

Gaslight is OK but very small and was selling more guest taps then their own beer last time I was there. I haven't been there in a few years.
