Looking through the BL IG feed for the winners announcement, I see a few people trying to finagle bottles. Interested to see what happens to winning tickets that don't comply with the rules. Also, saw that some will be hitting distro.

Wonder how many BL shelfies Mr Ks will make you buy to get one... it was 3 others for Ground State.

I don't mind having to spend a certain amount of money at his shop - usually drop at least $100 every time I go in already. I just don't like having to buy beer I don't want.

    Mike is very nice, agreed.

I remember years ago when people were lining up for PS3s and Wiis there was a guy who would take donations, buy one, wait in line, and smash it to smithereens in front of everyone in line. I didn't get it then, I think I get it now. Now taking donations to smash a bottle of FF in front of the next neckbeard convention lineup.

Ground state was given to stores by the sales of Jan, Fab and early march. Our sales were so bad that we werent even gonna get ground state. I apologize that I made people buy bottles that they didnt want. I tried to make it up by giving half off on the 3rd bottle just to be fair. I always believe in fairness and I promise i will make it up to you guys. Money has never been my moto, I always wanted to bring the best beer to my customers. Trust Mr. k's

FYI I had out of state customers offering me $60 to $80 per bottle but I'd rather hoarder it for my locals. Loyalty matters to me.

Want to open a second location in South OC? There's a few stores here that need a change of management.

I suspect being so close to bottle logic hurts you. I rarely buy bottle logic bottles in general but when I do it is normally from there or I get growlers filled.

I have yet to understand the significance of this nonsense. Why impose such limitations to the consumer when ultimately the bottle will sell regardless? You even state it yourself:

"I apologize that I made people buy bottles that they didnt want" Not just you but Several other outlets do the same, this place is no different whereas others will simply mark up the price over the msrp to try & make some profit (which is understandable however, when you're asking almost $10+ expect it to collect dust otherwise someone will ultimately purchase if they Really want it.

Aside from that, I don't agree nor condone such practice. A good example was when one of the local shops here in SD (all locations) had each received an allotment of ground state, though there were restrictions to one per person, they weren't all exclusive to their recent membership they opened but rather, first come, first served. I know it may not be fair to all but in consideration of all the bullshit, I think most of us would probably prefer such method. At least this allows ample opportunity for one to simply browse & be in an "oh shit" moment when they spot something of similar value & snatch it then & there, no questions asked.

Yes it's a matter of opinion but, let's be reasonable here. if you're Truly loyal to your customers/consumer they'll be back but I'm sure some places are aware & are recognized for it.

Lastly of the three shops, one of them also received reaction state as well but they were long gone same day within a matter of minutes; Social media bomb.. Would be nice if All shops were similar to how a store up in oside is (can't recall the name)

Mike and the folks at this shop freaking rule. Shop here whenever I can, and this is ONE of the many reasons why. Cheers @Mike100proof

Wow - first off, thanks for the response. I already love your store and stop by every time I go to pick up my allotments from the Bruery or am in the neighborhood for pretty much any another reason.

Also, I guess I never truly understoof the "back end" of the retail alcohol business. It makes sense that BL/distributor would base it upon sales of other BL products - sort of a pay to play scenario. Thanks for clarifying.

You've been incredibly nice and your prices have always been fair in my experience.

Can't comment on Mr Ks pricing of GS but, overall, I find his prices to be quite reasonable in general.

Also, I think the point of his response was the GS was only given to retail locations that had good BL sales so it might be a catch-22 - Mr Ks has to buy more BL products in order to even get GS for its customers in the first place at which point he's stuck with a bunch of BL IPAs and stuff that doesn't see on its own.

To help prevent truck chasing and cherry pickers. Quite simple really.

Wasn't BL the one that once posted a list of all the shops getting it and when they would? Might as well have given them the GPS coordinates of the truck.
