600 sq foot of off site, humidity controlled, 55 degree refrigerated, wine storage unit. get on my level.
    Just kidding, don't its stupid.

I'm buying a lot less but also drinking a lot less. If I were to stick with my 1-2 beers a week that im currently drinking.... I could not buy a beer for about 10 years. More probably since I tend to finish bruery beers over the course of like 3 days.

    Bought one CR.

i also thought wine3 was stellar, 2 xmas' in a row i've opened one and it gets better!

i wasn't a fan of vindictive, but i can definitly see a wine lover in heaven with that one. i took me 3 days to put it down, i think i used the tail end to marinade meat.

funny tho as cr gets public it sure suddenly looks damn expensive. how can adding something to bt give it a $10 boost in price? i love me some CR tho, so dammit

Different tastes indeed! I have really enjoyed the Wineification releases in the past, but I couldn't help but feel like they were just the "Grape Black Tuesday". This one actually had a legit resemblance to wine, especially in the oakiness. I certainly enjoyed Vindictive a lot more because it was a lot more interesting to me than the Wineification beers, so maybe "better" wasn't the right word.

Although my name is a reference to peanut butter, I actually don't like it any more than your average person :grinning: Long story lol...

Anyway, I just can't agree that there is zero PB flavor in PB&T. Zero "jelly"? Absolutely.... but that wasn't the question. Maybe my expectations were just different? I am not sure. I would definitely agree with @goofyballer 's account that there is a big nose presence with a nicely balanced addition on the flavor.

I'm going to agree with @JoshBeerNow (I feel dirty saying that) on this one. PB&Thursday definitely needs more peanut butter in it. Having had the PB&J cask that he is referring to, I can certainly say I prefer the cask for the amount of peanut butter flavor and aroma. It was amazing. Hopefully on this years PB&Thursday they can dial it up just a bit more.

I wonder if my opinion would have been different if I had tried that PB&J cask before PB&T.

Had some at a share about a month ago... had you not told me it was PB&Thursday, it could have just been a re-labeled Black Tuesday... so faint on the the PB flavor. Entire tasting group was rather disappointed...

I think there might just be some bottle variation on the PB&T, in terms of how much the adjuncts impacted a given bottling/barrel. It could also just be palate variation, but the strongly differing opinions in both directions make me wonder.

I found it to have a "moderate" amount of PB flavor, but certainly noticeable.

I'm the exact opposite. Is drinking 24 CRs a bad thing? Probably. But I could go one a night for two weeks easily before I got any palate fatigue.

I didn't get to try the cask version
Maybe not palate fatigue, but possibly liver failure.

You realize that is a half bottle of vodka a night? I think you have a drinking problem, you weigh 400 pounds, or you are 22 and still recover quickly. I'm a big guy and could polish of a weekday beer on my own in a night, and maybe have a couple other beers, but the next day is a little rough. There is no way I could do it for more than one or two days.
I wouldn't say chocolate rain is overpriced at $40, but it is not a deal. Personally, I like black Tuesday more than chocolate rain.

Drinking problem is a pretty subjective term. I'm not saying I would do it, nor could I afford it, but I can easily down a weekday beer on my own, so nightly isn't that far out of the question. Should I? Probably not. And I wouldn't drink one a night even if I could afford 24 bottles because that's stupid and a waste of the beer after a day or two of doing it, it's no longer something to enjoy it's just part of the routine. We're talking in absolutes here, so it could be done. Affording it though could not be done, not by me anyway. I'm too busy buying more Valise.

Aren't these weekday beers about 100 cal an ounce? I dont want to bust my daily cal intake on a bottle of beer.

Obviously - Your body, your caloric budget, your business.

Without the starting gravity and final gravity it's difficult to precisely calculate, but the rough rule of thumb I've seen is that calories can be calcuated by ABV * 2.5 for lower ABV/lower residual sugar beers and ABV * 3.5 for higher ABV/higher residual sugar beers. Even at the absolute low end, you're looking at 50 calories/ounce, but realistically it's probably 70+ for beers like BT and CR.

When you put it that way soloing a weekday beer in one night sounds a little irresponsible.

ABV-wise, a bottle of BT is also like 10.2 cans of Bud Light. So, you know, compared to half a bottle of vodka things could be worse...
