    Bummer.

Unsolicited legal advice to brewers, aspiring and otherwise: pay attention to the termination terms of your lease lest you run into the situation like this one with a landlord that runs you out of your digs without enough time to find a new digs.*

*Not actual legal advice; reading this does not form an attorney-client relationship.

I wonder if they really will reopen later in another location. River North is one of only a couple that actually did.

    Feel bad for them.

Their stuff never really clicked me with though. Not sure I even bothered to hit their taproom up back when I was living up in Fort Collins to be honest.

As much as people around here have dissed these guys, I can't tell you how much they've meant to me since moving here about 4.5 years ago. I've made a number of lifelong friends through Pateros that I can't imagine having connected with otherwise. Additionally, the guys there encouraged my beer tour boss, Murph, to hire me to do tours with him. Now I have a really fun part-time job drinking beers and educating strangers about 'our scene', and have also become great friends with Murph (which means more than anything to me).

It had a great community vibe with so many events that helped so many in the area. The taproom was cool. The service was great. Sure, the beers may not have been able to wow you, but that wasn't what they were going for.... malt-forward, sessionable beers aren't as well appreciated as they should be.

Some beers I will miss a lot include:
    Stevetoberfest
    Sleeping Elephant
    Cache la Porter
    Car 21
    Rustic Red
    Old Town Ale
