Bottle Logic Brewing Thread - Winter 2016/2017

Do you also have to go every day during the week of logic?

In the spirit of "leveling up", it would be cool if Bottle Logic gave already existing Tier 3 members access to Level 2 Stasis if they do Week of Logic again.

 

That's probably the tie breaker for those of us that are not a few miles away!

I am at least 5 pages behind in this thread. Has anyone opened a bottle of 2017 ground state yet? Any reviews?

 

Might be easiest to ask in the East Coast Treehouse thread, I bet they've had more bottles than us by now.

 

Its good. Nice mouth feel. Light maple flavor. Coffee is too light for me.

 

I recognize that I shouldn't care because it's their beer but I find the first one just as annoying, particularly if they are IPAs that get released basically every week.

Jumping in for some clarification regarding Stasis Project bottle access -- here is the fine print page from this year's Strategy Guide:



If guest volume stays at or under a tripling threshold, we can guarantee Level II Stasis Project bottle release access for #LEVELUP achievers. Based on the number of Strategy Guides given out by end of day Sunday we'll have a fair idea as to how that equation will shake out.

•Due to permitting restrictions, minors cannot attend Week of Logic in any capacity. We're sorry for the inconvenience, and once the Tasting Room expansion is built out kids of all ages will be welcome again.

•VALID government issued ID is required for entry. We will not accept hole-punched or damaged identification or DMV papers. This has been and will continue to be our identification policy standard.

•We're closing some Strategy Guide loopholes: Your information must be registered in the Strategy Guide and verified by our staff to be marked as "activated." Strategy Guides must show "activation" mark to collect any other stamps.

•Information registered in your Strategy Guide will be verified against your VALID, government issued ID at point of beer purchase. You'll claim your stamp in this manner each day!

WEEKDAYS: We'll tap a portion of the kegs at noon each day, and save a portion to tap at 4:00pm each evening.

Beers that don't tap out on their featured day will continue to pour until they do!

Maybe parents will take shifts waiting in a parked car where one stays with the kid and the other goes into the tasting room. I mean, it's not that far removed waiting in line for a can release before the ass-crack of dawn.

Any guesses on how long the line will be around 1:30-2pm on Sunday? Have a friend coming from out of town that wants to go.

 

I'll be honest, I couldn't finish reading your post. BL allots their bottles based on sales of their year round stuff. If a shop owner like Mike wants to get a case of Ground State, he needs to push their year round stuff. I know a few bottle shop owners and they hate doing it, but if they want to get their customers the best bottles, they have to play the game.

You don't like that they have to do that, then blame BL and others. Bell was forcing a friend to buy two or three cases of some of their weak bottles, just to get a case of Hopslam (2 years ago). I forget what brew it was, but it was still sitting there for months. One of the guys I know had to sell his shop because of stuff like this. People don't go in there wanting Stone Ruination anymore, they want the rare stuff. It's stopped being lucrative.
