If posting my opinion, on if I find the Citra Local 755 a NE style IPA, then yes, chalk me up as a hater.

I finally got to the brewery. I thought the Local 755 was pretty solid. It had a much more pronounced hoppiness than other Twin Cities NE IPA attempts, but it was weirdly sweet. I'm going to try to go back later this weekend to see if the Galaxy version is an improvement. I found the other 3 beers on tap to be poorly executed. If I would have ordered pints, I don't think I would have been able to finish them. They certainly weren't anywhere near as bad as some breweries at opening.

The location is convenient for biking. I can get there in under 15 minutes with a designated bike lane the entire way. There is a lot going into that complex, which will make it a destination. The taproom has a lot of character, but it would be nice if it had a connected outdoor space.

I had the Local 755 last night as well. It was a good IPA but definitely not NE in style. Hoping it gets better.

Totally agree with this. Visited the brewery yesterday and talked with Bob, about his brew and his future plans for the brewery/beer he was very forthcoming, affable, and approachable , felt very welcome here, and got a family/team feel from the crew and that they truly enjoy what they are doing and want feedback, good vibe from this place as well as the brews. Really enjoyed the Witbier,

Beer is very good- awesome space, the staff is super cordial but the parking sucks! Stay out of the lots, park in the street!

How about that underground parking lot...One way in and one way out up a steep grade, now that could cause some problems late into the night!

Wonder what the over/under for BA visits to Blackstack this weekend is? Looking forward to giving them a try later tonight.

I stopped by for the second time in 24 hours and they haven't tapped the Galaxy version yet.

According to my source (a friend that went there today), they don't expect to tap it for another 4-5 days. Something about dry hopping/needing more time.

Black Stack's first beer filled with their new filler was the NEIPA Citra, it's why it wasn't hazy enough. After three or four kegs they figured out how to use it. So anybody who drank the Citra on opening day and Tuesday had less haze than normal.

I'd say $5 a pint is the sweet spot for a 16oz pour at regular taprooms. Utepils charges $5 a pint and pretty sure Lake Monster who are nearby also charge $5. Hope BlackStack can figure out how to get the price down to $5 for a pint .

The IPA was way under attenuated and tasted of sweet wort. Anyone that thought it was good may want to learn something about beer.

Fair enough if those are your thoughts on the beer, personal choice and taste is extremely subjective. But if that's your attitude you're welcome to not return to blackstack or post in this thread.

Particularly because it's an objectively wrong "opinion." Opinions are subjective statements (e.g., "I did not care for that beer as it was a bit too sweet for my palate"). This is claiming the beer was flawed, when it was not, in fact, under attenuated.
