Not picking on you personally here, but this thought/attitude in general. I don't understand how folks think they are entitled to just bring their own beer into a place and crack it open, and not know that it's wrong, and against the law. Look, I've snuck flasks into places to avoid buying drinks, so I get why folks want to do it. But there's no way they shouldn't know that they shouldn't. Let alone just blatantly crack 'em open as they're sitting there.

Maybe it's just a Bham thing, but I see folks bringing food from one restaurant into another often enough up here, that it almost doesn't surprise me anymore. And, almost invariably, their response is along the lines of "but I was in the mood for this, and you guys don't sell it, so...". While not a direct comparison, let alone the legalities involved with alcohol sales and service, it's a similar attitude.

Perhaps the response from the brewery should be "we'll have to confiscate that, for, uh, security reasons".

100% agree with you @beertunes . I was looking at it more along the lines of an ethical or decorum issue similar to bringing outside food to a restaurant. I have noticed coffee shops cracking down on this and customers losing their freaking minds when confronted!

When you witness the free-for-all bottle sharing at various beer releases, I honestly figured it was a look the other way kinda thing. Especially when brewery staff members have walked the lines in the past handing out donuts, water, etc while clearly witnessing the bottle sharing. But too blatantly walk inside a taproom and crack open outside beers does seem bold as hell. Me personally, I've never brought an outside drink to a brewery inside or outside their facility.

apparently even mentioning the word tr_de in a non beer trading forum is worthy of banishment

At Reuben's now and they still have some Loral Crush cans left and Triple on tap. Glad I stopped passing through town.

Ran out to get some compost and potting soil so I stopped in at Reuben's for a six pack of Mosaic Crush. Looked like they had a few more at the register. Not sure if there was more in the back.

The latest release of Crush (Mosaic) is pretty good. But on a personally level/opinion, I prefer a less bitter and sharp Crush of this style. Those seeking more bitterness or spice, will likely enjoy this latest release greatly.

Must give Reubens props for releasing different iterations of this style of beer. Again, this latest release (Mosaic Crush) should appeal to the staunch Pacific NW style crowd IMO.

Well said, and agreed. It's a great beer, but it's definitely not as soft or smooth as Loral Crush was. I can appreciate both though, so I'm still happy a picked some up.

Grabbed a growler of the latest Double Crush batch for some yard work this weekend; damn fine brew, much more dialed in than the last batch.

    Get it.

Devil's advocate here. Do you know that the 'latest batch' is different than prior iterations? Does 'dialed in' mean more pleasing to you or some undefined ideal?

They usually post on Instagram when a new batch is available, and they've posted before about their experimentation between batches with hops, yeast, etc.

"Dialed in" is my colloquial way of saying this batch feels more rounded and better defined as a beer than prior iterations, and is entirely subjective.
