FF was in limited supply because of the longer aging process and they didn't want to commit that many barrels to longer storage space. FS is just adding coffee to FO, so it should be reasonably plentiful.

Their instagram post had it gone at about 8pm. Did it last longer? That would be a bit irritating as I was going to go at 9pm, but held off until 10:30 since I figured it was already out based on their post.

No, it was gone at 8 when they posted. Was there when they pulled the signs down.

FS is why I'm really gonna try my damnest to get that Level Up. Dealing with this cellulitis on my right hand, but toughing it out. It's either that or stay here at work, or go pick up my kids...so yeah.

Word to the wise, when you get a large gash on any part of your body, make sure you put a band-aid on it. Especially if you're going to do dirty work around the house. With that said, if you see a guy with a softball for a hand, he's probably in a lot of pain and the high abv stasis brews would go a long way in killing the bacteria. Help Cure this man.

Someone help me out here. Driving from San Diego to Bottle Logic every day after work. My sanity is being tested by idiot drivers and unnecessary slow downs. I was reading the first page of this thread and something had me a little worried. So, seeking clarification. @bottlelogiclindsay mentioned that she feels optimistic about the possibility of guaranteed Level I and II access. Is she just stating that Level I is 100% guaranteed and II would be the possibility? (dependent on the number of people who complete the quest of course).

It would just be a serious bummer if we all went through this and had to enter some type of raffle to get into Level I. Thoughts?

It was mentioned that there were so many strat guides handed out that she doesn't think Level 2 will be an option.

The way it's been explained is that if a large enough number of people hit all 7 days then level 2 releases would not be guaranteed, but LevelUp members would get a first crack at their one extra bottle.

So basically on those level 2 releases you'd want to grab your extra bottle quickly and not wait till the last minute.

The way I read it ... Level 1 is 100% guaranteed ... Level 2 is just a possibility at this point #keepingmyfingerscrossed

I wonder if level 1 is even guaranteed, do you think they made 5,000 bottles of FO? I've never seen any official bottle counts as of late so hard to judge...

I'm sure all the "idiot drivers" stuck in traffic after work are really happy the roads are filled with people driving 120 miles a day for beer ticking.

I would be surprised if the bottle count for the 2016 release wasn't at least that much.

I spoke with brewery staff and they said that FS is not just FO with coffee added. It's actually a different beer altogether.

The description of the beer is: "Our collaboration with 3 Sons Brewing combines the best elements of their epic BBA Imperial Coffee Vanilla Stout, Summation, and the unique brewing and beaning techniques we use to create our Fundamental Observation. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee supercharges the rich layers of Madagascar and Tahitian vanilla beans."

They weren't certain how much FS they would have for bottling, but I would imagine that it would be less bottles that FO, since FO is sort of a "flagship" beer and FS is a "one off" collaboration.

Not worth the drive, time & money. Even if you use the 91, sure it will save a bit of time but you'll need to take the 15 dependent where you're departing from. Additionally the fact that this is possibly a guesstimate for level 1 access just doesn't seem worth the trip as an individual. Think about it.

On another note, if you get say 5 people to pitch in to distribute the cost/weight & perhaps pitch in for all (gas, food, beer, designated driver, etc) then perhaps (i'd agree) it's worth it as it puts equal parts responsibility for each party/individual involved to be able to enjoy, partake & return safely back as I doubt no one will be there for simply one drink then take off. Don't get me wrong, I really dig this brewery but is it worthwhile to forego such shenanigans? Just a thought.

You could just wait the 2-3 weeks after bottle release and pick them up off the shelves down here.

That's IF he get's lucky enough & whether the apparent known locations receives them. As I mentioned in another thread, one spot even managed to get RS along with GS without notice.
