    Hey Fern Believers,

Second Fiddle is back! We will release cans of Second Fiddle Double IPA on October 22nd starting at 11am. Sale will be Cash Only, out the brew house door.

All Second Fiddle cans are 16oz. We'll be selling 4-packs for $13 (including taxes and deposit) and cases for $78. Cash Only.

As for parking, please do not park along Route 7. If the parking lot in front of our brewery is full, you can park in the lot behind us. To access that lot, take the first right or left out of our brewery. The road loops behind us to the parking lot.

    See you then!

I just happen to be visiting from Ohio this weekend. Would love to pick up a couple four packs to take home - is this the kind of release where I would need to be there in line when the place opens or can I roll in mid-afternoon and score some?

Throughout the summer months Mastermind was easily obtainable, as they were canning it quite frequently and not publicizing it anywhere. Thus, with some wishful thinking, one would like to assume the same scenario here. However, it’s the first release of the fall, and has been publicized on social media, which could draw some attention. Thus, it’s hard to say for certain, but would think you might be able to skip the line based on how the summer months went. Then again, it’s been awhile since the last Second Fiddle canning run

Hopefully not too much of a contradiction…good luck

I agree with @M-Fox24. If I were a betting man, I'd say mid-afternoon will be fine, and that you could probably roll in early next week and pick some up.

I was at the (first?) Fall release last October, and there were maybe 60 people at open. Gotta believe they have hundreds of cases, and that they'll still have plenty once you get past the opening rush.

But with craft beer these days, who knows.

Alchemist is now open, whole different ball game for people who will now make the trip to double dip. It will be quite busy.

I went last summer to a second fiddle release, arrived at 10:45, left at about 11:20. By the time I left there was a very short line and the cans lasted I think the entire day. I'd think you'd be fine to get there early to mid afternoon

Sold out @ 2:30. @Jbrews knows his beer nerd migration patterns!

In my defense, I didn't realize they also had Mastermind on the shelf at open.

Just feeling grateful for self-determination, mustering the wherewithal to mix with the throng and wing into the crowded taste room on a whim. Hadn't been following, was hoping to pick up some second fiddle *WOW*YUM*, hadn't even heard of Mastermind. Can art stole my heart!!!!!!!! Not to mention yummy chewy, fruity, piney x2 IPA....25% of sales go to a great cause btw!! Gotta love these guys their big hearts, supports of the arts and their alchemy!!! Wishing them the best of luck in their new facility opening soon!

Am I the first curmudgeon to point out that Highland Kitchen is not in Cambridge?

Welcome to Mass, hopefully, they send some cans down here too.

How long do cans of Second Fiddle usually last at the taproom? I'm going on vacation in VT on April 7th and I wonder if there's any chance there will be any left. About three weeks away.

given it's a slower time of year I think you will be good. They tend to Can every other week, So based on history the next "release" should be next Friday 3/31, also rumors of the return of hodad cans soon

Cool we've got extras. Let's send them to Boston they drink everything! (at least once).

Kidding aside, I like FH. I hope it's not the same phantom beer show like Sip of Sunshine, otherwise their distro here is fake news (chortle non political statement)

Bryan from Craft Collective here. We will be well stocked on Fiddlehead IPA kegs, with truckloads coming down on a regular basis This initial roll-out of customers each received multiple kegs, and will get multiple more later this week. The plan is to keep those draught lines flowing with Fiddlehead IPA.

It's a pretty straightforward strategy- permanent lines, fairly priced. So, while it might not be at the bar you want it to be at right at this moment, the bars that are pouring will have it reliably for the foreseeable future...and we'll add more bars as soon as we can.

We're seeing 16oz pours 98% of the time, and the average pint is selling for around $6.50. Seeing a lot of $6.00 prices, and I've seen one $5.50 so far.

As we get a better grasp on demand, we'll be able to add more customers and expand further outside of Boston. The goal is statewide distro as soon as supply permits.

We will be adding the rest of the Fiddlehead lineup on draft and in cans in the coming months.

Boston Mag summed it up pretty well: here: http://www.bostonmagazine.com/restaurants/blog/2017/03/20/fiddlehead-ipa-boston-launch/

Needless to say we're psyched to have Fiddlehead in MA. Hope you guys are too. Cheers!

Anyone have the dates for the last SF and MM releases and also when the next releases will be for each?

I believe the Last mastermind was Halloween and it will not return until summer. Last second fiddle was last Friday. Those are typically every other Friday. They purposely do not announce releases, aside from on the chalk board at the brewery. The easiest way to find out if they have cans is calling. They never answer but update their voicemail message daily with what is pouring and what is in cans. If out of cans they may say when the next cans will be available
