Hey guys, I'll be in town for a few days next week and I'll be staying near these two breweries. Outside of visiting these two places, are there any other breweries or bottle shops or things in the area that anyone could recommend visiting or that I should look out for? I've been to LA once in my life and stayed downtown so I do not know this area (or really any area of LA) at all. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

For bottle shop, Mr. K's is right before the entrance of The Bruery. Great selection.

Breweries, Noble Ale Works is near by too, if you like dank/bitter IPA's. Bottle Logic is also near by, core beers are ok. But their BA beers are great. Hit or miss.

Outside breweries, Highland Park and Beachwood.

As long as you're visiting BL, there are a number of good breweries/craft beer stores within 15 minutes drive.

Noble is by Anaheim Stadium. IPA lovers hangout, but try Naughty Sauce while you're there. Down the street, there is Karl Strauss Brewery-restaurant and a former brewery/now InBev sycophant known as Golden Load (I think what I'm trying to say is Golden blows poodle waste).

In close by Orange, try Hollingshead, a deli/liquor store with 15-20 taps. Try the liverwurst and gouda on squaw bread and a side of deviled eggs.

Slightly highjacking this thread, a few of us are coming up from SD this Fri-Sun to pop my LA cherry and subsequently visiting The Bruery for the first time while going to the NY Rangers/Kings and Rangers/Ducks games (Sat/Sun nights).

Unfortunately, I'm visiting Anaheim the day Bottle Logic is closed, but anyone wanting to meet up Sunday is more than welcome. Looks like we'll add Stereo Brewing to Sunday. How about Chapman?

Phantom Ales is around the corner from Bottle Logic. I enjoy their beer and their food is pretty good too.

Thanks for the input guys! I forgot to ask in the original thread, but are either the Bruery or Bottle Logic ok with IP trades? Will either place not allow a backpack with bottles that I would be trading into their establishment? Which brewery would be better to set up an IP trade?

Either is fine, IP trades are going down all the time. I'd pick Terreux since you and the trade partner will be about the only people there
